About us

We have been in business for over 37 years. We have 3 employees: Glen that has been with us for over 33 years is our head ASE certified technician, Jan has been with us for over 4 years as our office manager/service writer. And happy to announce Brad as our newest technician . We are long time members of the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and were awarded their Insignia Award for outstanding customer service. We were also the first company to be recognized by Sarasota County as one of their Green Business partners. Dave is well known around town for his diagnostic capabilities (other shops bring problem cars to him). We are up to date on diagnostic equipment & software.

Stopped by to see shop & set up an appointment for squeaky belts when starting in the morning. They were not too busy, so they took a look under the hood-no charge. Thought belt tension needed adjustment & did it while I waited.  Hopefully this will do the trick. Will know tomorrow morning, but will go back for regular service. Pleasant & reasonable.

In this mom and pop business they make their reputation by their professionalism, promptness, and by explaining all the details involved in the job they were doing for me. I also asked him to take care of something else that needed attention. The job took about an hour.  I am extremely pleased with the results.   Dave does the repairs and his wife, Karen, is out front.  The office is clean and comfortable and very homey with a good selection of reading materials. One of the advantages of Angies List is that I found a place that I know I can trust to do my auto repairs, and I will definitely return to Dave's  in the future (not too soon).

It worked out very well and I really like them very much. They've done a few of our cars. They are honest and tell me things that I can wait on or that aren't really that important to fix at the time. It is very honest of them not to try to talk me into a bunch of services that I don't need. They do a very good job on the things that they do recommend. They offer to drive me if I need a ride. They are not the cheapest people in town but they do a very good job. They are very quick. I will absolutely use them again.
