Terrible company. I purchased 3 palms from them. After the 2 were installed, it started to rain. My neighbor said they threw the 3rd one quickly in the hole and left. I have contacted them via phone call and email over 50 times to alert them that 2 look like their dying. Always promised a call back, that never materializes. The day they were installed half hazardly, I called the owner to tell him, and he had an attitude. Told me, they would be fine- well they're not, and can't get them to come out, or even return a phone call. You can see in the pictures, the one leaning and almost dead, and the other, the big gap around the base of the trunk where dirt should be. No follow up, or care. Run from this company as fast as you can!

We knew better.  After all, that is why we subscribe to Angie's List - to get the reviews and to make informed decisions.  The reveiws were not good on this company but we had met  with their representative, Craig, and were impressed with his knowledge and ability to meet our timeframe.  We checked the reviews after agreeing to the work and I wanted to back out.  My husband, who is the most decent human being on the planet, wanted to honor the agreement so we moved forward.  We were told the job would take two days and planned for them to work Thursday and Friday.  Things started out pretty well.  They showed up on Thursday and worked a full day.  At the end of the day on Thursday, we were informed that there was a job on the books that they did not know about and that the crew would be moved to that job on Friday. (Oldest contractor trick in the book)  We were not happy about it but were assured that they would be back to wrap everything up on Saturday.  We were skeptical since Sunday was Easter but we were hoping to have the job done for the holiday since we were having out-of-town guests.  We received a call from Craig on Friday saying they would not be coming on Saturday as the workers wanted the day off to spend with their families.  We were angry and informed Craig that we would be deducting $100 per day for every day they were late.  This did not go over well because, well "that was not part of the agreement".  My husband spoke with him and was given a firm agreement that they would be out on Monday.  They showed up on Monday to complete the job.  My husband spent the day running for materials to complete the job and suprisingly had to BUY SAND for the pavers because they did not bring it.  Are you kidding me!!!!!  They finished the job and everything looked pretty good with a few exceptions.  I wanted to hold a deposit on the uncompleted work but Craig resisted and my husband gave in and paid the balance.  He promised that they would come back to fix those within the next  few days. They did not come back to fix the items, however, over the couse of the next week the wall started to pull away and sink.  To their credit, they did send a crew out to fix it.  Initially, we thought they did a great job.  We were told that they had put concrete in front of the wall.  Days later, the wall started to seperate again.  We hired another compnay to come in to evaluate and redo the portion of the walkway that we were not happy with.  Turns out, they did not put concrete where they told us they had.  Also, some of the planting material they installed appears to be old and seems to be of a different variety than what we expected.  We were told we had a year warranty on the planting material.  Our calls and texts to Craig are no longer returned.  So if you hire this company, don't say you weren't warned.  If you do, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE:
1.  Insist on a daily penalty clause for days late..
2.  DO NOT PAY THEM FULL AMOUNT UNTIL YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH THE JOB and put this in your agreement.
3.  Be there and inspect the plantings that they are installing.  Do not let them install unless you are 100% happy.
4.  Get a drawing of the project.  I wish we had worked with a more tech-savy company that could have given us a computer generated picture of the final project.
5.  Get multipe bids and TAKE YOUR TIME.
These things would have saved us saved us a tremendous amount of anxiety.  We were very anxioius to get the project done and did not spend enough time up front getting a good understanding.  In the end, though, the wall slippage could not have been foreseen and your only hope is that you are working with a reputable company that will remedy the situation.
For the record, my husband has finally said, "I should have listened to you".  Too late, though:(

I was very happy with their work, but they have been slow responding to a new request for additional date palms.

IIt went very poorly, started out good, owner told me to call him after 1 month & he would come back to spray for fungus, I called after 1 month he never answered my calls or came, I continued to call for 3 weeks while the lawn got worse & then I called a lawn service myself to help me save the lawn, he tried sprayed for me but lawn wasn"t coming back so I called Blue Skye again. They ageed to send in a lawn company to take a look, they sent in Lawngevity  that tried but too late to save lawn, they were very efficient...He told Blue Skye it couldn't be saved, I finally called my charge card company & put in a dispute, they credited my acct $1800 till new lawn put in again. On 3-21-13 Blue Skye put new lawn in, they replaced most of lawn. Then I called my lawn company after a month & they sprayed for fungus.  Owner came to my house wanted payment I told him in 2 weeks if lawn healthy I'd call charge company & they would pay him .  He said he doesn't do the spraying but I showed him my paid in full receipt from  6-11-2012!!!!! saying he would be back in 1 month to spray. This took about 11 months to resolve,  then Blue Skye got PAID>>>>>>  If he had fulfilled what his contract said & did his job this would"t have happened & it wouldn't have taken so long,  Blue Skye workers were very effient but owner had a problem which gave me a problem.. Would never recommend them or use them again   that's why  I gave Blue Skye a F.

Five phone calls plus numerious promises  that someone  will be over to complete the project ---  the job is still unfinished  and we will need to go to Home Depo  to finish it ourselve ----very disappointing

I cannot say enough about the quality of service we received from Claudio and the Blue Sky Landscaping team.  In only a few short days, this hardworking group completely transformed the front of our home from thick, overgrown and ugly, to manicured, tropical and colorful - a home with curb appeal.  In addition, they removed all debris, recommended and installed irrigation, and took extreme care to match the plants and tending requirements to our lifestyle.  From the time we requested a quote until the time the work was done was a mere nine days - amazing.  Blue Sky Landscaping is a top notch organization, and has earned my recommendation and future business.

Blue Sky came out to see what needed to be done, then prepared a design plan and reviewed with us.  We asked to see the plants they were recommending, and they opened on a Sunday just to show us the plants.  They are passionate about what they do, and they do it well.  We disagreed on some recommendations, but Blue Sky took the time to explain their recommendations, and discouraged us from purchasing more expensive, but less hearty plants for our area.  In the end, we followed their professional advice and we were glad we did.  The work is outstanding and was completed on schedule and within budget.  Once they were done, they cleaned up everything, so there was no mess to deal with.

The work was supervised at regular intervals, and great care was used in placing the layout of the plants appropriately.

We are very pleased and will use Blue Sky again.

They were excellent. The estimate was exactly what they charged us. The technician was not pushy and was very professional. He really knows his business and I would highly recommend him. The price that they charged us was excellent. I knew what the other prices were and for what he did, it was an excellent price.

Claudio Reyes met with us and discussed ideas for the project that he then converted to a proposed blueprint together with a fixed price bid for the work. Once we had accepted the proposal, he had a crew of four on-site within 3 days. The workmen were conscientious and thorough, completing the project in one work day. All work was finished and all debris and excess soil was completely removed. Everyone who visits our home since the work is very impressed with our new tropical pool area. Claudio guarantees all work and plants. We lost two small tropical plants due to hard freezes over the winter (no fault of Blue Sky). When Claudio came back to bid work in the front of our home, he immediately offered to replace the lost plants. We are very satisfied with the work and service provided by Blue Sky Landscaping.
