Bill showed up early and took his time performing a very thorough inspection of the home we are purchasing. He was very professional and explained everything as he went along. He had the report to me on the following Monday along with pictures. The report was very easy to read and the pictures were very clear with arrows pointing to issues along with a detailed explanation. I highly recommend Bill to anyone looking for a good quality inspector.

He did a four point inspection, which I later found out that I did not need, there was a $149 fee for it, but he said he is going to reimburse me for it since I did not need it. He is a little unorganized, he is also a contractor and it seems that he did not have everything together. He wrote my email address down wrong when he was supposed to be emailing me the information, after I called and asked we found it was just a mistake on taking down the email address.

I purchased the inspection through a deal offered by Angie's List at a cost of $159.00, which I later would supplement with an additional $135.00 because the home's square footage exceeded the maximum square foot size included in the deal. The inspection service owner, William Caprio, contacted me shortly after the deal was purchased and we set a date for the inspection.

On the day of the inspection, we discussed what William would do. (Although he said he was fairly new at this kind of work, he'd had extensive prior contracting experience. For about three hours William went thoroughly over the home both inside and out, using a tablet to record his findings and to take photos. The data he entered in the tablet flowed to an inspection template which he later formatted and e-mailed to me in a PDF document. I needed the completed inspection document quickly in order to make a decision whether or not to buy the home.
Despite several other jobs scheduled in this period, William got his inspection report to me in a day or two. Unfortunately some items which should have been investigated were overlooked or not included. The report, which was to be shared with both brokers representing the parties to the sale, also contained several typos.
When I telephoned William to point out the omissions and errors, he was very apologetic and immediately offered to return to the home the following day (which involved a round trip of about 70 miles!), inspect the overlooked items, include them in the report and correct all of the typos I had highlighted.
The final inspection report was completed within a day and was very well done. (I attributed the earlier errors and omissions to the newness of this kind of work and the pressure of completing the report so that I could use it right away. In any event, the final product was very well done and William worked hard to make it so.)
I gave William a B for his professionalism, but an overall A for his work. The B reflected his relative inexperience at the time and he undoubtedly would earn an A for professionalism today. I certainly appreciated the second effort he put into making my inspection complete. I would hire him again without hesitation for am confident that he would do a great job. I believe I received much value for the money I spent.

Our home is 13 years old and since we are not handy ourselves, we wanted a home inspection to identify any possible areas in need of attention. The owner arrived at our house at the pre-arranged time. He was very professional and confident. His openness to our questions (probably rather novice to his ears) and patience in answering us showed his great customer service. He worked diligently taking photographs and detailed notes for approximately 4 hours. The following week we were emailed an extensive, individualized report (41 pages) with an overview and detailed evaluation of the grounds, roof, exterior, garage, and then room-by-room inside. This included plumbing, heating/cooling, electrical, walls, ceiling, etc.
We are now able to put together a plan to maintain our home based on priority and feel confident in doing so.

Professional, and able to fit us in at the last minute bc we were flying to town for one day only . Spotted a problem with the AC but would not refer us to an HVAC expert bc it would be a conflict of interest.

We had to reschedule the inspection several times---but, I was in no hurry. The owner came and did the inspection---he spent about two hours. It is a brand new home---so, he didn't have MANY things to site. But, I was happy to have it done--he sent a written report to me, with pictures, which I was able to share with the builder. It was well worth the money--as he found something that needed extra reinforcement in the roof. I wouldn't have known this until it started leaking AFTER the warranty was up!
SO--now, I am just waiting on the builder to make the repair.

Bill was punctual and professional. I had some questions on a problem in the electrical panel and he was really helpful in trying to help me.

The overall experience with Atlas Home Inspections and Bill was extremely positive, we feel we got a very detailed report that looked at every aspect of the house and surrounding area. The report was done with a lot of pictures and each picture had an explanation below it so we knew exactly what was being discussed, why it was being highlighted and what should be done about it. Not only did he detail the problems with the house but any safety issues he found and again he gave a recommendation on fixing the problem or in one area suggested we hire an electrician to further evaluate a possible electorial safety issue. We chose Atlas Home Inspections because of the Angie's List reviews and a coupon that was being offered, after watching Bill do the inspection and reading the report we feel we made the best choice, he may very well have saved us from a home buyers nightmare.

I was very surprised that this company was able to perform my home inspection on Chrismas eve due to my time restraints.
The inspector Bill was very thorough in the inspection process and was helpful in explaining his findings.
The inspection lasted 3 hours and he sent me a report with photos that included a summary of the inspection results on Chrismas eve.
