I called to schedule appt for appraisal and they got me in the same day.  Met with Kirk Weisman, the owner.  He was friendly, professional, thorough and fair in his appraisal of two expensive pieces.  He also looked over my wife's engagement and wedding ring to check for any damage, at no charge.  Gave me a full written and certified appraisal on the spot for a fair price.  Plus he's fun to talk to, and knows everyone in Sarasota.  I highly recommend him.  He also will appraise your jewelry you want to sell for no charge.  Other jewelers may charge you to appraise what you are trying to sell.

When I arrived , I was greeted very graciously. I had 10 pieces of jewelry to be appraised. This was done in a timely and professional manner. I would definitely recommend their services.

Took the items in for an appraisal, he checked them over and mailed back the appraisal in about ten days.  Had it been urgent, we could have waited in the office for it to be prepared.  The appraisal was quicker than what two jewelry stores offered and they had to mail them elsewhere for the work to be done.  His appraisal was also lower in cost.

I brought all my major jewelry to have him review for insurance purposes. He quickly looked over the pieces I owned and advised which onces were worth having appraised. (not that the other ones had no value, just that they were not high in value).
 I felt he did a good and honest job and he reviewed them while I sat in front of him and waited. I was disappointed in the price of my sterling silver but he explained the price of silver had gone down since the year prior so that was not his fault. I would go back to him if I had more or if the price of silver went up significantly. He was difficult to get an appointment  with however.

I called the office and got an appointment the next week.  Their procedure is for customer to bring the jewelry in, sit in the office with Kirk while he does the appraisal, and take the jewelry home when things are finished.  It was very important to me to not leave the jewelry. The staff was very friendly and professional.  About a week after the appraisal, we received the written document.  My insurance company asked for an electronic copy of the appraisal which they were happy to send me.  We are very happy with Florida Jewelry Appraisers and would use them again.

They are very honest and accurate. They are very available. I made an appointment and did not have to wait. I am blown away by their customer service.
