Steve has been a great service provider to our family for more than 15 years and two homes. He has always responded promptly even during his busiest seasons. In typical fashion, he was on this issue right away, identified the problem and fixed it immediately.

The initial installation went well. However, less than a year later the temperature display went out. (You can not read what the temperature is set on.) Called Mr. Richards, explained the situation, asked if he could come out to fix it. He asked me to call him back the following week. I called Mr. Richards the following week, he then said, he would call 'me' back to schedule a time. Three weeks later and I still have not heard from him. I called Mr. Richards again, left him a message, no response. When the contractor called him to do the installation, he came the very next day. I feel he was eager to make money, $2200 in which he insisted on cash, but now that we have a small problem (yet very important and necessary to us), he doesn't feel the need to follow through. Poor customer service to say the least. Very, very disappointed and still have a display I can not read. Anyone can do an installation, it's the follow through that's important.
UPDATE: Had another company come out, but because I could not get Mr. Richard's to come out when I first called, or at all, my unit is now out of warranty and I will have to pay $250 to get this part fixed.

He was excellent and fairly reasonably priced. He has done well for me and called me right back even though it was a weekend. When I had a problem recently he came right out when he said he would. He responds quickly and is very helpful. He showed me everything and was a very pleasant person to work with. Since it was a simple job he tried helping me over the phone before he could actually come out so he would not have to charge me. I would use him again in the future.
