J NORMAN ROOFING

First off, J Norman Roofing changed their name to Florida Roofpro (in the middle of my job). J Norman was very responsive to get a contract signed but it took 5 months to start the job. Understandable with all the damages across Florida after Hurricane Irma. But the owner would rarely return phone calls during the waiting period. Once the job started, it went fine. Workmanship was acceptable but there were a few minor issues with some small gutter sections. The reason for the F rating is that when the job was done and paid for, they did not pay the subcontractor because of issues between the contractor and subcontractor on another job. The subcontractor has now put a lien on my house for nearly $28,000. I also found out that there are at least 11 other homeowners in the same boat with this contractor withholding payment to the subcontractor after final payment resulting in liens on their homes. DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR UNLESS YOU WANT A LIEN AGAINST YOUR HOME.

I specifically asked for the estimator to look at 3 skylights & if there was any question that they were not in good condition I wanted them replaced at this time. He told me they were fine. Crew came, did the work, cleaned up & all was fine, I THOUGHT! 3 weeks later, a leak, 2 weeks later I had another huge leak (see pictures), 3 months later I had yet another huge leak. Each time they came I was told "they found the leak and repaired it" although they never looked in the attic and complained they would have to rip stuff out! On 10/5/07, I had a minor leak. Called them up, they sent someone over to "repair". The man "repaired" the wrong area but said he'd look at the other one. 2 days later I get a call from Debbie yelling and arguing with me that I was out of warranty even though we had previously agreed on a 5 year warranty instead of their minimal 2 (after all of the leaks) and I would have to pay. 2 days after that I had a leak in the area that he accidentally "repaired".

This company did a really good job. Even the inspector who came out said that and also that they are a well known company in the area. They were really hard working, very nice and professional as well. I appreciated that they cleaned up thoroughly after the work was done.

They were on time, on price, and did perfect cleanup.

J. Norman Roofing arrived promptly. They did the job over a two day period, getting the job done quickly. After the roof was completed, they did a great job cleaning up and removing all debris. In a time when everyone was getting roofs done and many roofers didnt even call back, we were very pleased with the time in which we got a new roof on our house.

I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK THIS COMPANY DID. THEY COMPLETED THE WORK IN THREE DAYS AND SHOWED UP TO PERFORM THE WORK WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD.
