The original piano movers were supposed to move my piano from my parents' house in MO to my house in SC. This piano was my childhood piano, and I am a professional pianist, so this piano meant very much to me. The original movers, American Piano Movers, picked up my piano on 11/20/2013 and at first communicated with me, but eventually I completely lost touch with them. Since I could not get a hold of American Piano Movers, and they never returned our calls, we had to assume the piano was stolen and filed a police report. After we filed the report, American Piano Movers contacted me and contracted the move to DC Moore and Sons. As soon as DC Moore took over, we had the exact opposite experience--they constantly communicated with me and promptly returned my calls. They arrived when they said they would. When the movers arrived (the movers were the sons), they were incredibly patient, thorough, and eager to please. It turned out that the move would have been difficult in my original chosen location--we have a very angled front door area. We had to change the location of where I wanted to the piano--the basement walkout door was less complicated, but there was a steep step, and they had to take out a railing in order to accomplish this. Anyway, they got the job done and they were extremely good-natured about it; I felt terrible that it took up extra time. In the end everything worked out and I couldn't be happier! I seriously thought I would never see my piano again! I will always be grateful to DC Moore and Sons!!

Employees were very professional and the most efficient movers I have ever used. They arrived on time, work hard all day and never complained. I even tipped the guys at the end of the job. The estimate provided was right on target with the work performed. I would use D.C. Moore in the future and highly recommend them.

They charged as they quoted, no surprises. and middot;
The only reason I am disappointed in the move is because of one major disagreement that really irritates me: They put dents and scratchs in two areas on the left side of my one year old refrigerator and then said they didn’t do it. I chose not to argue with them. and middot;
Not as big of an issue but also disappointing is that they unloaded my 6 month old Maytag washer and dryer that has a metal exterior with a metal (aluminum) hand truck that had no padding. I don’t believe there was any damage but I voiced my concerns. and middot;
The last item, that I found later, was that my wood desk no longer locks because somehow the locking rod was bent and broke. and middot;
If it had not been for the damage to the refrigerator I would have been very happy. o I was extremely disappointed that they chose to say the damage to the refrigerator was already there. The damage definitely was NOT there because it was moved in by hhgregg approximately one year ago and never moved again until DC Moore and Sons moved it. I watched hhgregg move it in and I know there was no damage. I was elsewhere in the house when the refrigerator was loaded by DC Moore and Sons so I didn’t see them damage it. I suspect it was damaged when they moved it through the front door / storm door of my old house or somehow on the truck during the move. I noticed the damaged when it was brought into the house I moved to. When I pointed the damage out to the head mover he said that the damage was already there when they loaded it. I did not submit a formal complaint with anyone because I believed I would be wasting my time.

They were very thorough. They had great prices. They were very nice. We had a team of 10 people move me with 3 trucks. If anything got damaged, they send a furniture repair person out to fix it. It was the first time we had used them. I would use them again. They never gave me an excuse for anything I asked for.

They moved the piano very well but there was some minor damage done to a few pieces of the furniture.

I had a very unique situation. I wanted white glove services that were high end merchandized furnishing. They were the most meticulous movers I have ever dealt with in thirty three years. I can't say enough about them. They moved a $7000 sofa for me. I have used them before for a long distance call and I can't say enough for a local move. They are fabulous. They came out to the house; I explained what I wanted moved and how I wanted it moved. The materials and quality of workmanship was great. When I say white gloves they were white gloves. We are going to have a long relationship. I'm having construction done on my house so I have things in storage as well as things in another rental. That's why I wanted somebody that would work with me.

Moving experience was great: they were on time, worked non-stop, and final price was about $500 less than the original estimate. So far, as I continue to unpack, I've have not found anything broken or damaged.

Move went great. Movers were on time, explained process, moved the piano carefully. It arrived in Ocala on time and in good condition.

I called D.C. Moore on Wednesday and talked to Bob, who gave me a quote of $200 to move an upright piano with the bench from Seminole County to Southwest Orange County (about a half-hour drive from house to house). No stairs were involved. I also told him we could only do it on the weekend, and he said that they could move the piano first thing Saturday morning. Sure enough, I got a phone call from the driver at 8:20 on Saturday morning to say they were on their way to pick up the piano. They picked it up at 9, and by 9:30, it was in my house. They were very careful with the piano, and moved it to the exact spot where we wished. We even tinkered a little with the location so it wouldn't block an electrical outlet. The movers were friendly and professional, and the piano was moved safely without any problems. I would recommend D.C. Moore for any piano, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them for moving other items in the future. Their estimate was also lower than several others I received (and they stuck to their estimate).

NEEDED TO REMOVE A SIDE BY SIDE REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER FROM THE GARAGE OF A HOME RECENTLY SOLD INTO OUR EXISTING SINGLE FAMILY HOME. SCHEDULED THE MOVE AND THE MOVERS WERE COURTEOUS, EFFICIENT AND RELIABLE. WOULD DEFINITELY USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
