I would recommend that you stay far away from this contractor. We have been trying to get a job completed for over 2 years now, with many excuses on why they can not do their job. Recently they have told us that they have run out of money and that they can not finish the job or refund us our money. Look at Orange and Seminole county clerk of courts they have 3 people suing them at the moment. They told us to get in line for suing them.

At first Bosox builders were responsive, once they received the money from the insurance company it quickly went down hill. Long story short cabinets were not the ones we ordered but were close enough we just went with it. However upon installation the refrigerator enclosure was not properly measured and they installed 24" deep side walls. What is needed is a 30" deep sidewalls to cover the sides of the refrigerator. Also they shorted me one door on one of the cabinets, and while installing the pull handles and after explaining to the installers we wanted single pull nobs on the doors and pull handles on the drawers. We gave them a bag on handles and nobs to do the job with, they then drilled holes for pull handles in the doors, and said that they did not see the pull nobs in the bag with handles we gave them, I simply walked over, reached in the same bag they were getting the handles out of and grabbed a pull nob and showed them. So now I have cabinet doors with multiple holes because of their mistake. I called Nathan the company representative who we had been working with to resolve the issue only to be ignored. My only mistake is with choosing BoSox Builders!

Some of the Painting was sloppy - leaving drips of paint to dry, painted over tape on wall. There are several cracked tiles in the master shower and they have not responded to resolve the issue. Family business so I trusted them in my home. Rating would be higher if they resolved my shower tiles

Bosox Builders has been exactly what I have been looking for in a service provider - I purchased a foreclosure house and was looking for a contractor with excellent general residential remodeling skills with whom I could establish a long term relationship. I met Don through the home show and he has been just that person. We have used them on an ongoing basis for approximately 1.5 years. Basically, we use them as our go-to service provider when we are looking to embark on another home remodel project. High points include:

• - Excellent at coming up with workarounds for challenges either anticipated up front or encountered during the job - As the owner of an older home we frequently encounter quirky things in the construction of our home. I find them to be very creative (in a good way) with how they can use materials or change their methods in order to reach an and quot;out of boxand quot; solution. He never uses shortcuts or looks for the easy way out.
• • - Extremely fair pricing - He always engages in a back and forth to clearly explain pricing. If something comes in higher than anticipated we always discuss the reasons and work together to find alternatives so we can still do the project at the original budget we anticipated - this could include changing the detail, us completing portions of the project ourselves, etc. He is also very forthcoming about explaining if another service provider can do parts of the job cheaper. I feel that he is always looking out for our interests as it comes to pricing even though he is running a business.
  • • - Professional and pleasant to be around - It is a family owned and operated business. All of the employees are well known to the owner. I feel very comfortable giving Don a key to my property and letting them manage the project as needed. I would estimate that they've spent a total of approximately 60 days at our property over the 1.5 years so we've really gotten used to their presence and enjoy having them around.

I have referred them to many people and would strongly recommend them. I plan to continue my relationship with them for the long term and have many more projects planned for our house. A good working relationship is a give and take that involves compromise. When the project isn't urgent I am very flexible with scheduling because I understand that they are managing my project along with many others that are often larger. When it is more urgent in nature, I communicate this to them and they make it happen.

I noticed the negative report on Angie's list but I would like to point out that the writer did not actually engage them for service. I would encourage you to consider my report as well when making an assessment about them.
