"I am sorry you had any issues on your move. You were notified in writing in advance of the opportunity to purchase full coverage insurance and you did not. Just like a car if you decline or do not purchase full coverage you will not receive the benefit of full coverage. Unaware, I later I found out from the movers on site that the reason we could not hear each other and you were talking over me and I was talking over you is you had me on a speaker phone. You stated you recorded the conversation. Not that it would have changed anything but just an FYI so you do not have legal issues in the future, Florida's wiretapping law is a "two-party consent" law. Florida makes it a crime with possible criminal and civil liability to intercept or record a "wire, oral, or electronic communication" in Florida, unless all parties to the communication consent. [Hyperlink Removed] As we made you aware in writing 3 times including an email several days in advance of your move, and the BOL and addendum that you received initialed and signed before your move was started, the coverage included at no additional cost up to 60 cents per pound per article. That would equal in this case $270 which I think is actually more than the cost of repair is going to be (it is repairable not a total loss). YOU WANTED TO PAY NOTHING FOR THE MOVE which is not an acceptable resolution. Just to clarify I did not drop your piano. Yes, a couple of my movers did however damage your piano. The main reason for this was the uneven condition of the concrete at your delivery point (but still should not have happened). We did offer to take the $270 off the bill on the spot to which you stated you were not going to pay anything until resolved. You finally did pay the bill in full according to the movers. After you submit an estimate of repair I will send out a Check to you for up to $270 based on that estimate. As for coming out to your job site, it would not have changed any of the outcome at this point. This company is of a size that it is not possible to go to every issue that takes place in person. We actually move in the neighborhood of about 150 pianos a year, so yes we are experienced at moving them and this specific crew is experienced at moving them. Unfortunately that does not mean mistakes will not happen. Please submit your estimate of repair as soon as possible and once received I will send you a check within 2 business days of receipt. Again I am sorry you had any issues with your move. Charles Litton"
"Thank you for taking the time to give us a review."
"I am sorry to hear your move did not go as well as you hoped. No mention of excessive break was ever made that I am aware of when you filed a claim. Since you feel excessive breaks were taken and I do not believe you should be charged for this fact, we will refund a 1/2 of your time to help compensate for this. I will mail this check within 72 hours. The reason you received $90 on your claim is that was the level of coverage that was provided with your move at no additional cost. On 3/14/2014 at 1:03:30 PM with your quote in writing well before you moved, you were informed what coverage was included and that you could purchase additional coverage in advance of your move. On the day of move before your move started you signed a specific contract addendum separate from the bill of lading in large type again explaining the coverage included. I believe we made a good faith effort on this point to fully inform you of this fact. If you feel this is not true please do not hesitate to contact me at 407-382-3822 Thank You Charles Litton"
Move did not go well as far as I am concerned.
"I am very sorry to hear you did not find the item in question. Because of your move, we have adjusted our pre move paperwork to ensure that our customer sign a separate statement specifically agreeing that they have secured such items of this nature and provide them an opportunity to secure such items before we start a move if they would like. The item in question should never be shipped with a mover or left in a drawer. In most cases a nightstand or dresser will be padded and then could be turned or put on end to go out doorways or for best and safest packing in truck. When this happens small items can fall out the top or fall behind drawers and onto the ground into grass, dirt or into bottom of truck. We try to inform all customers in advance that the only items to stay in dresser drawers are clothes and that all other items should be removed. I can not confirm in confidence that we relayed this message to you. However, I can say we are from this point forward verbally and in writing to help avoid such an issue in the future. We did have a third man available on the crew. As we stated at that time it was completely optional and we did not in any way insist as we did not initially price that option. We explained the pricing difference and let you make the choice."
Thank You AAA Insta Movers & Toney an Ryan
On the day of the move, Ryan and Tony were scheduled to arrive between 8 am and 9 am. They actually made it to my home early and were very professional and friendly. They explained everything to me before starting and reviewed the rate I was quoted, payment options accepted, as well as when the clock would start ticking and would end. They were very easy going, accommodating, knowledgeable, and made the experience very enjoyable and pleasant. I was totally confident in their abilities seeing them work so well together as a team. They were even very friendly with my three year old who was very curious with what was going on.
They asked me throughout the move where I wanted everything and moved everything to the new location I wanted them to be moved to and set up all the beds and furniture as I requested.
They worked very hard and never slowed down their efforts. At the end of the move, they did a walk through with me to make sure everything was to my satisfaction, which it definitely was. I was truly amazed at how smoothly everything went and how enjoyable it was having Ryan and Tony handle the move for me. We had plenty of laughs, but in the end, they more than delivered what they promised, a truly professional moving experience. I would gladly recommend them to all my friends and family and to anyone who wants to have peace of mind with their move at a reasonable price.
"Thank you for taking the time to let others know about your good experience. I just wanted to ad a correction about the job amount for others who might view this review. The job total was $267. It added to many zeros on your review. Thank You Charles Litton."
