Yarwood Investments

We signed a contract on Sept. 29, 2011 and the job was suppose to be completed on November 29, 2011. He said it would only take him two months to complete. I paid him $28,000 in cash. The job was was never completed. I met with him on June 22, 2012. He apologized for not completing the job, and promised to give me half of my money back. He wrote me a check for $14,000. I took it to the bank and the bank told me that this account was closed and had been closed and the check was no good. Ever since he wrote the check on June 22nd, I have had contact with him. He kept telling me that he would be getting me the money. I talked to him yesterday, and he said that he would definitely have the money to me today. When I called him this morning, the number I had been reaching him on was disconnected and had been changed. I had used him in the past, and he had rehabbed a different house for me, and there were no issues, which is why I trusted him for this project. I had no idea he would cheat me like this.
