I had engineered wood glued down on about half of the floors, and lots of damage from carpet tacks. The job took 5 days, but it turned out great. Jose is a great guy, and gave me an excellent price. If you've never had terazzo or travertine floors, you need to know that although it will look like glass after getting polished, there will *always* be some imperfections here and there, especially if you have existing damage. That said, Jose (the owner) really transformed the place, and honestly, whatever tiny imperfections do remain, you'll get used to them quickly. Anyone who visits, however, will immediately say "Wow!" when they see the floor. This includes a friend who polished his own floor by himself. At the time I thought he did an amazing job, but my floor is orders of magnitude better. Also, if chemical smells bother you, you'll want to spend one additional day with the home airing out before you move back in. Don't freak out, it does go away. Overall an excellent experience. I highly recommend Universal Polishing Systems.
