I called around to get estimates from several local AC companies and saw reviews for Tierre Verdie Island Aire. I liked the idea of using a local company and they were one of the closest to where I live. When I called to schedule an estimate, the person I spoke to was very pleasant and said the owner would get back to me in the next day or so. Thank goodness I didn't hold my breathe waiting for them or stop from collecting other estimates. By the time they called me back (approx. 10 days later) I had already selected another vendor and they had already installed my new AC (and they did a TOP NOTCH job!). The message Tierre Verde Island Aire left said they appreciated the opportunity to provide an estimate but the owner (can't remember his name) was very busy and would not have time to come out to do an estimate, and continued to say that while they are the best, they're not the cheapest and I should look else where for what would probably be a more reasonably priced estimate. I never said I had a budget nor looking for the best price so I was quite angry they/this person presumed I could not afford them. Must be nice to be so arrogant and confident that your backlog of work will keep you going and that you don't have to harvest new work. I was very insulted by that message I will most definitely never recommend them and will instead share this very negative experience. So glad I went with the AC vendor that I did - doubt TV Island Aire could have done half the quality of work those folks did.

They did a good job.

Mike was most courteous and helpful. His staff was very calming and professional. This was not an easy job as my house is older and not built to house today's equipment. I would highly recommend Mike and Tierra Verde Island Aire.

I was more than a little worried about hiring a contractor that lived in Tierra Verde ($$$), but it was a great experience.  Mike actually had the lowest price, he responded promptly to all of my calls, and his crew did a great job without leaving a mess.  Furthermore, Mike thoroughly explained his reasons for recommending the unit being installed, he provided us with three high-quality filters free of charge, and he offered a 2-year warranty when others only offered a 1-year warranty.  It didn't hurt that he's an all-around nice guy, too.

They had fair pricing. They were completely reasonable. They were knowledgeable and worked hard to reach our goals.

My air conditioning unit quit unexpectedly during the heat of summer. I called Mike at Tierra Verde Island Aire and within minutes he returned my call. He arrived at my home shortly after and was able to do a temporary repair on the unit. Unfortunately, the unit had given me problems in the past so we decided to replace it. Mike was wonderful to work with. He gave me a proposal for a unit he believed would work well for the size of my home. Once I gave the approval for that unit he was able to install it within a few days. His work is excellent. He recommended a new programmable thermostat that is saving me money on energy bills. I would recommend that if you have any heating or air conditioning issues you give Mike a call. He is honest, hard working and very knowledgable. He is really that great!!!

They did a great job. It is a huge system, as it is a giant house. They were incredibly thorough, did an evaluation, the system is hypoallergenic, they gave us options, we got the best equipment, they were quick, clean, left no mess, I couldn't even tell they were here, respected the house, knowledgeable, and terrific. I compared prices and they were right in line. I was just so impressed by their company. I give them the highest ratings and would use them again in the future.

This was a very difficult install because of the limited space in the closet. Mike was so patient with me, as I had so many questions as to which unit to buy. He answered everything for me and explained the whys and why nots to my satisfaction.

Recently, it was about 9pm on a Sunday and I got home to notice the air conditioning was out. Michael came right out on a Sunday night and didn't charge any extra fees. He is very nice and professional. He is licensed and has been in this business for over 40 years so I really trust him working on the equipment.
