Stumps And Roots is a business that employs 3 people. We have the most powerful class of stump grinder that can access a stump through a 36 inch back yard gate. We sub-contract for many tree services that do not have a stump grinder of their own or use us exclusively for very large stumps. We accept payment upon completion of work in the forms of cash, check or credit card.

I was in the process of replacing my driveway with pavers. Needed to have a some a stump and roots removed. Made several calls. This company responded quickly. Came and removed stump and roots. Had a fair price. When installing the pavers, found that some more roots needed to be removed. This was time sensitive. They came out immediately and took care of it. I can not speak highly enough of this company! Would definitely recommend them!

The service was good. They came exactly when they said they would and did exactly what we discussed. There are others out there providing the same service at a lower price, but we had trouble contacting them. Either there was no call back or call backs were very late. One other provider agreed to come look at the job but never showed up. There were none of those issues with this company. Straight forward and honest, and the work was done properly with no added drama. I would definitely recommend them.

Called Brannen on a Thursday for an estimate and he came out that same day. He came out while I was away so he left a message with the cost of $120. I called him the following day and he came out right on time and did an exceptional job with his remote controlled stump grinder, cutting down over 1 1/2 feet. Brannen was very professional and I highly recommend him. Other stump grinders used in the past only cut down 11 inches or so and the prices would have been competitive.

Originally I was just expecting a quote, but when Myrl (?) arrived, he was pulling the stump grinder behind him with his truck. I had an idea back in the summer what the cost would be to have the stump removed (which is why we waited), but when he quoted me his price it was half of what I expected. Having this price I found there was no sense to wait to have it done. Since he had his machine with him, he went right to work. It took him about an hour to grind the stump down. He used a remote control to control the stump grinder which I found fascinating! We decided to not have the mulch removed as we were able to use it in various parts of our yard. It was a very large pile, but that was not a problem. He swept the areas of our porch and street where the mulch flew when the stump was being ground.

Went very well. Arrived at the agreed upon time with equipment suitable for the job. Immediately went to work and within one hour had the stumps ground out, holes refilled and the area cleaned. I was impressed by the operator's skill in operating the equipment.

It went well overall. We had some initial conversation about location, etc. I asked that the hole not be filled after grinding so I could fill with dirt rather than root debris that would rot and shrink. I am putting turf down and that would cause me to have to dig it up, fill, replace.. All the grindings were left for me in the hole unfortunately. It was a large mound and I have to pay someone to dig it out completely. I did dig down to make sure the stump was ground in a few spots and it was. This is the only point I'm not that happy with but I got a good deal in my opinion.

I cut down a tree and needed the stump ground down. I called the company and set up a visit. They were quick, professional, and did an awesome job! They left the area neat and clean and most importantly, no sign of the former stump. Also had nice equipment to make for quick work. I will def use again if needed.
