Computer Sales
Dealing with Staples was a cluster from the very beginning. They didn't have it in stock and if I ordered it online, they had a bag that went with it. They wouldn't let me do it online so I had to get in store. They couldn't do it generic online so they got the manager to go in and order it. The price was higher and it didn't have the free thing that went with it. She couldn't figure out how to do it. Then the computer came and it was in a large box. It had the original computer box but it didn't have any padding and was just bouncing around. The box was soaking wet and I called and said 99% of the time it's probably okay but I don't want it and they needed to exchange it. They sent the wrong one in and they said I had to charge the difference. The charges were continual, it was $1800 by $350 steps at a time. They just could not get it right. It was like going back and forth. I went into the store where I got it online. They do remember me going in there and when I called the guy he said it would be upgraded to a better quality one. I went in and she said she couldn't take it because the box was all wet. They looked at the notes from the phone call that the box was wet. It's like their customer service does not exist. It was actually 7 weeks to get the laptop and the charges went back and forth. It was beyond stupidity. I took it out of the ups box and took the actual computer in and she was basically accusing me of shoplifting even though I walked in the store with it. I told her to get on the line with your customer service. She was going on and on and I was done with her. I gave her my I.D. and told her to feel free to call the police. I was not dealing with her. I give them a chance at the lower level but after that I go to the corporate level. That was a cluster. At one point, I had 3 computers and 3 different models. One was soaking wet and one was supposed to be an upgrade that was 4 times as much. It was not what I wanted and I wanted a generic word processor level one. I got another one. I was wasting hours of my time and I had 3 different computers sitting there. I couldn't convey to them what the deal was. I told them to start at 0 and create a new account and all the computers will go back in one box and end it. They went back and forth and I ended up getting the computer for $17. With all the time I spent with it, I didn't want it to be considered a gift. I'm sorry but I think 7 weeks is long enough to deal with a package.
