St Petersburg General Hospital

I really don't have anything bad to say about this hospital. They have helped me out with everything from treatments to bill pay in a very professional manner.

She went on to prescribe Aleve, but in prescription form. They packed his finger with a foam that aids in blood clotting, and told us it would fall out in three to four days. We weren't to pull the foam out, or he could start bleeding again. Well, a week later I had to debride his finger (cut away the dead tissue) that had grown over the foam-it wouldn't fall off, and had actually engrafted to the wound! It was very painful for my husband and I was very upset.

Dr. Shah was awesome!!!!  she was always willing to listen and would explain everything that she would do.  she always asked us if we had any questions.  she made us feel like we were family.  the delivery went very smoothly, three pushes and the baby was out :)  the process before, during and after the delivery went very smoothly.  the staff was very organized (the nurses were older so they really knew what they were doing).  
i (spouse) had free lunch and dinner which made our stay less stressful, one less thing to worry about.  
the billing went well.  everytime i called to verify / clarify items on the bill, they took the time to explain everything, and even gave me a payment plan so i would not be too burdened.
i would definitely go back to st. pete general if we get pregnant again :)

I was already in labor when I went.  They hooked me right up and we were moving.  They were good.  I actually didn't want anything for pain and they let me go the next night. Twenty-four hours, I was like let me out of here I've got other kids.  They were like okay.  I didn't want them to treat me, I was in all this pain.  I was like I'm good.  Let me go. They are the closest and that's where my doctor delivers.  They are right down the road.  They are convenient.

The surgeon was great and no problems with her.  The nursing staff did not answer my questions, they did not help me with getting dressed after surgery.  They were not very friendly.  The anesthesiologist couldn't be bothered to speak with me and consequently I had a very bad experience.

The doctors are very nice.

They're very caring, very professional and friendly at the same time.

They have the best robotics in the Tampa Bay area. I have done all of my major surgeries there and my daughter was born there. It is the best hospital in the area.
