Spa 801

I had the worst salon experience ever in my entire adult life at this spa. Not only was I made to feel unwelcome-when I mentioned my concerns with my stylist they were ignored. I had been going here for about 5 months. I am always on time and always tip above 20%, I don't "back seat drive" while the stylist is cutting my hair. I'm not a demanding customer. Last time, I was taken to the shampoo bowl by a staff member that appeared angry - she put the bib around my neck so tight I thought she was trying to strangle me. She then pushed me back to start shampooing my hair- again in a not too gentle way. When she was done she gave me no direction- just put a towel on my head. When I got out to the waiting area, I noticed she had put a towel that was heavily discolored (probably used for color at one time). You should never leave a towel that appears soiled on a customer. So I took it back to her and expressed my dissatisfaction, which hardly registered at all. My stylist was running late- not that anyone told me or offered any explanation. After sitting and dripping in the waiting area for 15 minutes, I decided that maybe this appointment was not a good idea. While waiting in line to reschedule my stylist came and got me. Again, no apology was offered for running late and when I mentioned what had happened, the only explanation was "poor so and so- she's been by herself all day". I was so upset and dismayed, I couldn't speak. When I called the next day to talk to the manager, my stylist answered the phone and I told her how I felt about my experience and that I would like to speak to the manager about it. She advised me that the manager wasn't there yet and that she would give her the message and ask her to call me. This was 4 months ago and I have not heard back. I'm not sure what the rationale for treating me like this was, if the staff felt overworked and overwhelmed- that wasn't my fault. I liked my stylist, but the service was not worth the treatment I received.

Went very well. Had a car problem and had to change my appointment to later time-thankfully my stylist was available. The receptionists were very friendly and professional when I called same day to change my appointment time. My stylist, Christin Behers, is wonderful! Christin listens and pays attention to detail. She is very professional and knowledgeable-is always working on her craft. She gives the best haircuts I have ever received. Christin is very talented with color as well (my daughter makes an appointment with her each time she is in town). I highly recommend Christin to anyone wanting a great haircut and/or color. I will definitely be back to see her every 6 to 8 weeks.
