About us
Shelton Home Inspections is a 2x Super Service Award winner with 18 years of home inspection experience & 40 years of termite inspection experience. We carry a separate license for the termite and home inspection services allowing you to hire 1 company for not only these two inspections but we can also complete the 4 Point and Wind Mitigation Insurance inspections which are needed for homeowners insurance quotes. In addition, we also provide thermal imaging (to locate roof and roofing leaks, home efficiency leaks, etc), roof certifications, and other unique inspections. A full detailed home inspection includes all of the "systems and components" of the home, a Wood-Destroying Organism (WDO) inspection report (also known as a termite inspection) including a detailed graph (see images on our profile) of all WDO/termite damage (including recommendations for the appropriate treatment if applicable), activity and evidence found in the home, and the 4 Point and Wind Mitigation Insurance Inspections for insurance underwriting. We also provide Pre-Sale inspections so you can prepare your home to be listed on the market. I did not feel that the inspection was very comprehensive. I wanted the evaluation in writing and he did not give it to me. He never sent me anything in writing. I think he came fairly quickly. I paid for a service that I did not really receive. He just gave me a verbal, quick reading.

Shelton is consistently accurate and timely. It is important for us, as your insurance agent, to get this report to the insurance company with all the needed data and accompanying photos. Shelton does a superior job.
My clients that have used them have all said they were professional and were on time for their appointment.
Found many minor electrical and plumbing items to fix (about 10 each category) Also about 40 "handyman" type fixes.
We did NOT buy that house when inspector pointed out no permit on record for the garage conversion to living space..
I went to county building office and found it was UNpermitted, so I decided NOT to buy that house,
even though the work for the "new, bigger living room" looked good.
Report was well done, professional, and many pictures. 45 pages total for biggest one.
A+ Inspection in my book!
