Ceramic Tile Service, Deck and Porch Service
This man presented the most dreadful workmanship I've ever seen. He was supposed to build wooden porch railings, add column covers and replace some rotted wood on a door frame. I showed him pictures of porch railings that I liked and talked to him in detail about finishes. I requested cedar because of its durability but, the wood he got was the cheaper rough cedar and he did not bother to smooth or sand it at all, the primer was just slapped on this unfinished wood. The rail pieces he brought to my house was the ugliest unfinished woodwork I've ever seen. Some of the wood had old looking yellowish paint on them and I was able to push my finger through a whole on a handrail piece, it was soft and looked rotted. It looked like some of that wood came from a scrap pile. When I expressed my disappointment about the workmanship and finishes, not once he offered to fix the railings, he just kept saying "this is what you order, this is what you signed, it's in the contract" and he got upset when I told him that I will not accept the pieces he build. When I said that I will get my neighbor who is a furniture builder to come and see the railings, Mr. Puckett quickly threw the pieces on to his truck bed, now visibly upset barking at me how much time he wasted putting it all that together and that I have to pay for him. I started to feel uneasy and wrote a check for $360. He left the column covers in place but, after closer inspection, I discovered paint runs, peeling paint, rough edges and caps and they are all about 3" shorter than the columns. The next day I wrote him an email saying that because of the poor quality he can come and pick up the column covers as well and I told him that I canceled the check. His response was a quote: "the 360.00 was for the cost of material just not the pine but the cedar that I took to the dump because I have no use for it. I spent 14 hours fabricating what you signed for in contract. If you cancel that check I will sue you for full amount of contract". Unfortunately, he was fast enough to cash that check. Please be aware, do not hire this man.

We hired Ron Puckett to paint the living room, entry hall, kitchen, master bederoom and some exterior trim. Since we didn't have a hurricane shutter rack, we asked him to construct one, placing the shutters off the garage floor. Our vent pipe from the dryer had fallen and we asked him to reattach. Although Ron was punctual and worked throughout the day, we found him to be a messy painter as we had to remove paint smears and splatters from the floors and touch up areas that had not been covered. He cut in the area of the wall and ceiling, leaving rough lines that had to be redone. Smears of grey paint were left on the ceiling that had to be removed (painted over). The vent pipe he reinstalled was attached to the wall with duck tape and not with mechanical devices. About a week after he left, the pipe fell which made us reattach the pipe properlly. When this occured, we called Ron to let him know of this issue. He did not return the phone call, nor attempt to fix the mistake. THe only possitive review we can provide this provider is that he appears to be a nice person and punctual. He worked quickly and continuously throughout the day. The hurricane shutter rack - so far - remains attached to the garage wall and appears to be extreamly functional.
