 + -1 moreAfter more than three weeks and four visits to my home, I finally, finally got a written estimate for the work to the house. It was $60,000 above what we discussed verbally as my budget! Not to mention it being $70,000 to $80,000 above the other estimates from Angie's List general contractors. No wonder this company wasn't on the List! I wish I had not wasted all of my time with this company. Emails, phone calls and four visits which amounted to an episode of the Twilight Zone when they brought the estimate over in person. The contact people are nice, but longwinded and obviously delirious if they think $110,000 is a reasonable cost for this project. I couldn't find this company in the Better Business Bureau and neither could Angie's List member services. The website does not list a license number and neither does the business card.
Description of Work: I wanted to get an estimate for a remodeling project-- garage conversion to a family room, involving a room of less than 280 square feet. Also involved installing 2 exterior doors, new HVAC, replacing 13 windows, new tankless water heater, and 2 outdoor structures (pergolas).
