I was not told when I called for appointment that installation of a ceiling far was effectively $400/hr. Service man arrived at 8am, first appointment and was walking out the door with his tools at 9:05am. They charged me $200 for 1/2 to install the fan and then another $75 for the 20 minutes it took to install the alarm and call their office for the bill. They emailed me the bill at 9:03 am. When I called to complain about the excessive billing the clerk said she would have the owner call back. Days later, I had to finally say I was going to call BBB, owner finally returned call and said told me he was here for 1.5 hours and I was underbilled and provided by text a copy of their internal records. My ring door bell shows him leaving at 9:05 with his tools, not 9:30. They emailed the bill at 9:03am. Beware !!! I have pictures of all if Angies would like to see.

My wife and I hired Pinellas County Electric Inc. after our HVAC Repairman told us to have our ground checked. Come to find out having our ground checked is a completely free service provided by our Utility Company. We didn’t know that at the time. So, my wife trusted Pinellas County Electric when they told her that a $200 hour-long inspection would be our best choice. On the day of the job the Electrician was over an hour late, which is fine if they would have given us a courtesy call or told us they had a tardy window prior. Eventually the Electrician got here late and proceeded to check our ‘ground’ at the main power supply. After checking the ground at the exterior panel and interior panel he returns to his Van and waits. After approximately 30 minutes my wife and I return to the Van to ask the Electrician that’s sitting in his work Van if he was done. He stated, “It’s your hour.” So, I told him, “Well you can’t do much for us in there!” So, the first thing I asked him to do was show me what he saw at the panel boxes and how he knew they were “ok” as he stated. So, he walks us to the panel box, opens it, and pokes a few of the cords with his fingers and says, “See, they’re good.” I asked if perhaps he could use a tool to just make sure and to get actual measurements (It’s my hour why not?). Well he said no because he was sure. Awesome! We didn’t need anything else at this point and I think he knew that as well. So, the last thing we did was have him check our Bedroom Bathroom Light fixture. Prior to him entering the house I warned him that both him and I accidently stepped in Clay while looking at the Breaker Box. He laughed and just proceeded on his way, I was kind of disturbed. Anyways, the Bathroom light was broken and he left. Again, he used no tools, it was just obvious the light was broken due to corrosion all over it. We were basically just trying to kill time because we didn’t understand why they said they needed to be here an hour and even the Electrician agreed. I called Pinellas County Electric Inc. later that night to let them know how the installer was over an hour late, only worked for 20 minutes, tracked clay in our house, and how he used no tools. Immediately the Manager goes, “I’ll give you a gift card.” I told the manager I didn’t want a gift card and wanted an explanation. Why am I paying for something I’m not receiving? A gift card is simply a Red Herring Fallacy. So, then the manager told me it’s okay for their employees to be up to an hour late, I told the manager that was fine but I recommended he inform his clients in the future of this and to also give a courtesy call to his clients. He agreed. I also mentioned how the installer never used a tool (I even mentioned how I just got a Fluke 117 tool) and the manager even agreed that the job couldn’t even have possibly been done without appropriate tools. $200/hr. for an Electrician to come over for 10-20mins to poke a wire isn’t adding up. The manager then told us (mind you every single one of our phone calls are recorded), he would refund us the difference in time that the Technician was not working as well as send us a gift card to clean up a ridiculous trail of clay the Technician tracked through our home. I was actually content with this but now several weeks have gone by and my wife and I haven’t received any refund or the gift card to clean up the trail of clay. The most disturbing incidence was as of late when my wife called and spoke with the owner of the company to ask why we were still waiting on our Refund and Gift card. I can’t say much here because it violates my HIPAA (Human Information Portability Accountability Act). The owner starts discussing with my wife how his Tech told him about medications that I keep at my house and how it made him nervous. My wife let the Owner know I had a prescription (which is none of their business!). He then felt extremely embarrassed and apologized. We’re still waiting on the Refund and Gift Card.

I called on Monday, this was the second place I called after another electrician said no way, they were totally booked. When I called Pinellas County Electrical (oddly official sounding, but I could see they were close by) they gave me a window of 2-4 pm, then an hour later I got a call from their technician Tory who said he'd be here about 11:15am, which he was, which was fortunate because it ended up being a big job involving installing new circuit breaker panel, the job ended up taking several hours, probably more than they expected (having to cut into plaster wall to install new, larger panel probably had a lot to do with it). I knew I had a serious problem, but didn't realize how serious until Tory showed me where there had been arcing, it was not merely a power loss problem but a possible fire hazard if I hadn't gotten it taken care of when I did. I'm glad they were able to get here and make the replacement so quickly. One thing I wasn't prepared for was that they normally add a service charge to credit card charges, but since it wasn't made clear to me prior to the service, they let me pay by card without the fee, which was much appreciated. Still, something to keep in mind if you normally use a card for large expenses.

Office staff is horrible. Owner/manager basically called me a liar over the phone because he wasn't familiar with his own marketing campaign. As it turned out I shouldn't have used it. Watch out for pricing. NEVER use their DEAL OF THE MONTH. They will over charge, then take $$ off.

I can’t say enough about DeAngelo and Raj. They were at our home within an hour after we explained our problem. They were professional and hard-working. Even when it was clear that the previous electrician left a web of confusion, DeAngela problem-solved until every issue was resolved. Thanks David for pushing everything in motion. It’s hard to believe that any other company could do better.

Pretty good. I liked electrician - he was very competent and professional. Glad I bought deal because they are really expensive AND WARNING - they consider their drive time to be part of the onsite time! So if you buy an hour you only get 30 minutes, then it reverts to $100+/hr

Beside the little misunderstanding about the additional line being run the service was outstanding. There were 2 different crews that came out (1 for breaker box and 1 for running the new line) and both crews were on time as scheduled and worked very professionally. I have already recommended Pinellas County Electric to others that may need electrical services. The price was a bit more than other estimates but I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for.

I am very happy I hired Pinellas County Electric. Having recently relocated to the St. Petersburg area I was unsure who to use for electrical work. I picked Pinellas County Electric based on their positive reviews on Angie's List and other websites. Fortunately for me the positive views were absolutely correct and I have been nothing but impressed. Their work has been outstanding. Every member of the crew has been extremely professional and knowledgeable. If I could give them 6 stars I would! I will hire them again when we demo the kitchen and laundry room and would definitely recommend them to others!

Time was of the essence to me, because I was only in Florida for a week, so when I called and said I accepted the proposal, they arranged to have an electrician come out and install the new box within a couple of days. The quality of the box is very good, and the electrician took the time to identify all the circuits and labeled them in the new box.

I feel like it was way too expensive... He did 20 minutes of work and charged me $219. They could have charged half of labor (hourly) fee. I feel ripped off a little.

It was awesome. No issues with cable routing and they used an existing outlet. After the install, they followed up by phone with a quote to upgrade the panel since I couldn't add any more breakers to what I had. Excellent job.

I am so thankful I hired Pinellas County Electric. They went out of their way to accommodate my busy schedule and did excellent work. They were prompt and professional...and when there was a glitch in the repair they came back out and did some minor additional work to resolve the problem at no additional cost. It's fair to say that Pinellas County Electric cares about its customers and its reputation. I would - and have - recommend them to friends and family.

Difficult job, but completed early ( Dec 16) and within budget. David, the estimator and coordinator, was on site every second day and kept us apprised of progress vs budget. Excellent communication! Richard and D'angelo did the bulk of the work and were a pleasure to work with. I helped with cutting access holes and took on the patching of plaster and dry wall. They were quick to address problems as they arose. Passed city inspection without issues. Very pleased with the outcome and can recommend these guys without reservation. Will use again.

5 stars does not justify the quality of service I received! I called many electrical contractors in the area and found Pinellas County Electric the only one who returned my calls. I spoke with a girl name Sara in the office and the gentleman who came out name was David. He provided me with a quote to upgrade my electrical panel box. They came out when they said they would and billed what was agreed on. I cant thank Pinellas County Electric enough for their hard work. I will recommend them to all of my friends and family.
