The vet we always see is Dr. Freeborg. He is very good with both the people and the animals. He always puts the cat at ease first but is good at explaining things to the people as well. He's very gentle and careful with the animals. The staff there is the same, they're always gentle and speak kindly. Their service prices are comparable to other vets I have been to. They don't have emergency care, but twice I have shown up at opening time and they've seen me right away with a urgent situation.

They're great people. They are really nice. The cats are good. They were all very good. The only bad thing was their lobby, which wasn't segregated between cats and dogs. Dogs want to investigate what's in the carrier, which makes the cats start going crazy, which upsets the other dogs. That's really uncomfortable, but that's my only gripe with them.

Dr. Partridge could not have been any nicer or professional. He was excellent. His facility is very nice, clean and welcoming, as are his staff.
Excellent across the board. Highly recommend.

The staff at Partridge Animal Hospital are kind, caring, and thoughtful. You can tell they really love animals and care about their clients (pets and humans :)). I first took my dog there when he was only 8 weeks old (he's now 1.5 years old). I was a first time dog owner, so I only knew what I read online... which means I had no idea what I was doing. Dr. Landers was incredibly thorough with me and took the time to answer all of my questions. He was so great with my dog and never tried to sell me on anything they he didn't feel that I needed. Also, Kim, who is at the front desk, is wonderful and incredibly helpful. My dog can barely control himself from excitement every time we go to their office because of how great they are with him. I cannot recommend them enough. If you want your pet well taken care of by people who truly care, you need to see Dr. Landers at Partridge Animal Hospital.

The staff are caring and professional, and Dr. Landers is the most thorough and thoughtful vet I know. He always takes the time to explain what is going on, what options there are, why he recommends a particular treatment, and what alternatives there are. He does not talk down to us, as many vets do. We have often, after much discussion, agreed on a different treatment than originally suggested and I never leave feeling like I am making a mistake OR that I got talked into something. Best of all, unlike MANY vet hospitals, Partridge does not constantly try to upsell and push unnecessary tests and treatments. Their online ordering service for meds offers prices that are competitive with any online service and make getting prescriptions easy and less expensive than getting the prescriptions filled in the office.

The last visit was a "maintenance" visit; when you start laser treatments, you go for 6 visits over a period of about 3 weeks. The treatments have helped my 10-year-old, very arthritic golden retriever feel so much better. She's happy and playful and a lot less stiff.
We've taken all of our dogs to Dr. Landers for years, though. And we trust him completely.
In August, we went in for the 10-year-old's annual checkup and to find out more about the laser. Dr. Landers discovered a cracked molar that had to come out. And wanted to take some X-rays to figure out where she needed laser treatment. Add to that a senior exam, blood work, etc. and the total was about $1500. I knew it would add up, but I would have appreciated some warning. That is my only complaint.
Dr. Landers is an excellent vet, very caring and thorough. His technicians are kind, gentle, and very professional. He explains everything that is going on and all the treatment options, and I never feel pressured to do tests or treatments. Best of all, my dogs actually LOVE going to the vet.
A tip: try for a mid-week appointment or first appointment. They run late sometimes.

Our 3 1/2 year old Goldendoodle had several vomiting episodes the previous Saturday and Sunday. We took Gatsby to an emergency animal hospital on Sunday where they examined him, gave him liquids and anti vomiting medicine and sent him home. Gatsby did not act like himself the remainder of the week, being very listless and not having regular bowel movements. On the following Friday we had an appointment with Dr. Partridge. The Doctor examined his abdomen, said he felt something that didn't feel right, performed an ultra sound and found a mass in the pancreas. He said immediate surgery was necessary or our dog might not make it through the weekend.
Dr Partridge operated on Gatsby at 6:00 PM on that Friday and called us after 8:00 PM to say the surgery was over and that he had removed the mass that proved to be a fist-sized abscess.
Dr Partridge has performd two follow-up examinations including two ultra sounds and the surgery appears to have been successful. Gatsby is his old self full of energy and love.
Thank you Dr Partridge

He is extremely good. Their office staff is very good. I can go in and I can buy the hot warm pills. I can buy them by the month instead of having to buy three to six months at a time. When I get out of the car in the parking lot with my dog; my dog gets excited to go in.The animals like going there. What I also like is they will call once I take them home. They call several times to see how he is doing; they check up on his recovery. I used to go to another vet and I stopped going there because my other vet didn't do the surgery. She recommended him. The prices were better. His prices overall, I think are better.

My pets' veterinarian from Partridge Animal Hospital is very friendly. He spends a lot of time with you. One of my dogs have had a bladder stone in the past and he just took her in the back and did an ultrasound where I could watch to see if she had any more stones and he just did it for free which was very nice. He also picked up my other dog to see if she did have any stones.

Partridge is a superior diagnostician, no question. I trusted him completely and he knew my dogs were precious to me, I didn't cut corners with their care and I would do anything for them. I had one dog he'd known for years and I went to him immediately when I noticed something odd with one back leg in her walk. She as an extraordinarily fit, active and happy dog of about 12 when this started. Partridge told me there was nothing to worry about, she would be fine, it wouldn't affect her life, "she can live for years" with it, that I was worrying for no reason. It continued to deteriorate over months and I continued to go to him and call him pleading for him to do some tests or refer me to a specialist; I explicitly told him I would do anything for my dog. He pooh-poohed me, wouldn't run any tests - nothing - ignored my requests for referrals, didn't return many phone calls. It eventually became a horrible crisis and I confronted him in the office on the last visit and he admitted he had made his own judgment that this dog, at her age, didn't warrant treatment ("what were you going to do, do surgery on this dog?"). He said he had a duty to his patient, not to me. Remarkably, he found it in himself to do about $600 worth of x-rays on that last visit that he wouldn't do until then. She was beyond treatment by anybody else at that stage, because of Partridge, and she died from it not too long after. Partridge was righteous about his conduct, didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with lying to me, keeping information from me, refusing to refer me to specialists, and substituting his judgment for mine about the care and worth of my dog, essentially taking it upon himself to condemn my beloved dog to death.

He spent a lot of time with her. We've used him in the past because we've had other animals. We really trust him. He doesn't mince words, and he tells me if there's something wrong. He treats problems right away as he finds them. Our other dogs had several surgeries with him.

I have been using the services of Dr. Debra Drew for many years, and she is one of the most skillful and compassionate general practice vets in the entire region. She helped keep our 15-year-old cat with kidney disease alive for an additional 5+ years with excellent care, much of which we were able to give at home an minimal cost. When Dr. Drew recently discovered a nasty cancer on our 11-year old cat, she referred us to a very good veterinary oncologist, and coordinated care with him. Partridge Animal Hospital has caring staff who do everything possible (and sometimes even the impossible) to take care of both your pet, and you.
This hospital respects "The Bond" that most animal owners feel with their pets. And Dr. Drew keeps up on current science and the latest developments in veterinary medicine. Their services are not inexpensive- veterinary services can easily run into the hundreds- but their prices are absolutely in line with going rates. They will discuss options with you, and you are, of course, free to decline services you feel are too costly. I feel we get honest advice about which services are essential, and which can be postponed.
Dr. Drew recently put one of our beloved cats to sleep, as she did with another one three years ago. She helped make both experiences less traumatic, and our kitties crossed the Rainbow Bridge with dignity and compassion. She and her staff clearly love animals, and I get the feeling that they respect and love them as much as we do. In addition, Dr. Drew explains your pet's medical issues in clear and easily understandable language, helping you make well-informed decisions about treatment options and home care.
If you are prepared for the sticker shock of modern veterinary medicine, but love your pets as much as we do, there is no better veterinary care you can choose in the Tampa Bay area than Dr. Debra Drew and her staff at Partridge Animal Hospital.
