The job went outstanding! Although Jim, the owner, was booked out for months, he special ordered pickets and came out personally to fix my fence when few would. He spent more time trying to special order the size pickets I needed than in fixing it and squeezed me in between jobs to get it done promptly. I knew my job was more trouble than it was worth and that he felt sorry for me which makes him a very nice guy in my book. Everyone else told me it was not going to be easy to get the pickets but he did. Now the hole in my fence, that my neighbor created, is fixed beautifully and matches the other pickets in my fence. There is a reason he's rated highly and it's because he's an honest guy that always delivers what he promises and does it well. I am considering adding onto my existing fence and I guarantee you if I do it will be only through Native Green Fence and Landscape!

Jim and his crew are outstanding and just built custom wood gates and fencing for my property.  Such excellent craftsmanship and attention to the finest detail. I am a repeat customer as they installed a fence and gates for me three years ago at my former residence where came highly recommended by two of my neighbors.   Moreover, I can’t say enough great things about them as they are responsive, courteous, and true professionals.

Jim and his crew did a great job. It took extra work to match the height of the existing fence pickets, but they accomplished the goal professionally and without complaint. We didn't get any other estimates so can't speak to the project's pricing, but we found it reasonable. And having seen Native's work elsewhere, we didn't see a new for a second quote.

When I first contacted them in July, I was told that they're booked up until mid-Oct. I looked around but it turned out two other companies were in the same situation, so I decided to wait. And it was all worth waiting. On Oct 21st I met Jim and his two crews for the first time - they briefed me with their plan, set up their equipment, removed the old gate/section and put up brand new gates front and back in NO TIME! They're on time, polite, professional and such a joy to work with. They really know what they are doing and everything was a pleasant and positive experience. Highly recommend?

We could not be happier with the work done by Jim Johnston and his crew from Native Green Fence and Landscape. From start to finish, they did this right. When Jim first came out to discuss what we needed done, we kicked around our options, based on existing side fence material and style, owning dogs that we need to keep secure, and ability to maintain the fence as the property behind us is a rental and there is no guarantee that we would be able to access that yard if any repairs were needed. We ended up choosing vinyl, with white posts and cross rails, and tan pickets to cut down on the brightness. Jim told us that due to a bit of slope in our back yard, that the fencing might not be perfectly level but that they would do the best they could - and their best turned out to be stellar - it's level and looks great! The other things we especially appreciated were Jim's timely communications and arrival on-site. If we get to the point where we need to have the side fencing replaced, there's no question - we'll go with Native Green Fence and Landscape again.

Was a pleasure to work with owner James Johnston and crew. The work was started on time and finished within the 2.5 days I was told it would require. Yard was clean up after completion of work was immaculate. The fence is beautiful and appears to be very sturdily built. I recommend this company without hesitation.

Jim and crew do outstanding work and it was a pleasure having them at our home. We had two fences installed,trees and stone.He custom built one fence onsite to match our existing deck and stairs.Jim gave us a written quote right down to the size trees. He worked with our budget and ideas to achieve the look we were looking for. We could not be happier. They deliver what is promised.

Stellar professional service. Native Green performed an excellent job installing a laser-straight/level high quality reinforced white vinyl fence. The job included 6 foot privacy sections and 3 foot picket-style sections along with 3 gates in the front (between 2 houses) and a pass-through picket gate in the back for easy access to my neighbors' cocktail patio. My neighbors are equally as happy with the job. Native Green used at least 60 pounds of cement for each post. The entire process was a pleasure from the bid to completion. Jim steered me in the right direction in regard to materials, placement and even style. Native Green came highly recommended by two other satisfied customers, and I myself would gladly refer anybody to this professional operation. You can go elsewhere for lower quality work and lower quality materials for a lower price. Please do not make that mistake. A+

For the past two years, Jim and the crew at Native Green have provided bi-weekly service to maintain the vitality, health and appearance of our landscaping...not lawn care, but much, much more. The quality of their work and their extreme professionalism have just been exceptional. I am the owner of the “king kong” fence. The very hearty looking fence with 6” x 6” posts. I designed it. Jim built it. The fence is less than two years old. Here is why I would *not* use Jim again. Jim’s fences look good for about the first three months, then they slowly begin to fall apart. And when things start to fall apart, and they will, do you think he will do something about it? He won’t. He’ll give excuse after excuse and repeat the phrase “well wood just moves and settles. nothing we can really do” What utter nonsense. We had another fence company come over and point out how he doesn’t know how to properly adhere the panels to the posts. So that’s the issue. It’s that he doesn’t really know what he’s doing. He’ll admit that he basically knows how to put up standard dog ear fences (and that’s primarily what he does because he earns more money that way). That’s it (and the basic fence he put up in our carport, like our main fence, is falling apart). Where to start? First, Jim uses Cyprus wood, but because he’s a novice, he uses wood that is new growth, not old growth and what that means is that the posts are splitting apart (see the picture). I’ve been to two of the best lumber yards in town to show them the wood issues and they all said the issue was he used wood that wasn’t ready to be made into a fence. Once our fence was done Jim was about to put a $2 latch on (more on his cheap latches later). We asked him to put deadbolts on the fence gates. What did he do? First, he had never done that before (why? people who have great fences put on deadbolts, not some cheap $2 latch). That was a concern to us that he did not even know how to do something of quality like use a deadbolt that was built for a wooden gate. So he had no idea how to do it and the best part? He did *not* use stainless steel deadbolts. So of course they are rusting. And one of his workers (that no longer works with him) drilled a hole into the front face gate that ruined the appearance. The hole that was drilled for the deadbolt was so bad. So I called Jim and he said “yeah, that’s bad.” That’s it. Crappy production. Too bad for the client. Now take a look at the photo that shows that he does not know how to balance a gate door and that the cheap latch he put on there combined with the cheap deadbolt no longer work. We had to pay a locksmith to come and fix all three gates because Jim had no idea how to do it. And after he sees this review, he’ll formulate some b.s. response about how I’m not accurate, etc. Nonsense. He will take your money and build you a fence that will fall apart and he won’t help you fix his errors. And finally, like all mediocre Florida contractors, he doesn’t respond in any sort of professional manner when it’s time for him to fix any of his mistakes. But like a good Florida contractor, you know when he does answer his phone or text you? When he needs $200 for the cheap deadbolts he put on your fence incorrectly. Mediocre work, full pay expected, no follow through. We asked him to come over and look at the fence, he came over without notice and we were not there. So now he thinks he should get credit for coming over and trying to help. A true pro would have contacted us and asked if we were home. Make sense right? We won’t be recommending him and we’ll be going with another fence company next time.

The Native Green team did an amazing job! The fence turned out beuatifully as did all the landscaping and sod! All my neighbors have commented on how beautiful my house looks now with all the improvements Jim and his crew made! I would highly recommend them for both fence projects and landscaping projects. These guys definitely know what they are doing and do it in an extremely professional, polite and respectful manner! I couldn't be happier!

We are a local homebuilder, and Jim and his crew did an excellent job on two wood fences for us on new houses we built at 5525 & 5517 2nd Avenue North. You can't beat Native Green for customer service, their attention to detail, and follow up!
