I have been looking for a good salon for sometime. I would find one i thought i liked but never felt they heard my concerns. I called Manely Hair the day after Thanksgiving hoping for an appointment. The owner did not have time that day for the services i needed but said the other hair dresser, Tammy, could accommodate me if i wanted. Tammy came in early to help me out and did a great job. She listened to my concerns and addressed them. It was a wonderful experience and i will be back

Overall the experience was very good. The salon is a little far from my house and it was just like in the reviews--nothing fancy. Just a small neighborhood salon. Went during the week (day time) and there was adequate parking behind the salon.
Tonii was very nice and personable and asked me a couple questions about my hair prior to cutting it. I also like that she was okay with just wetting down my hair versus shampooing it. I always come freshly showered to my hair appointments and do not need my hair washed again!
Tonii was very professional and experienced. I plan on going back for a second visit next month to see if my second experience is good also.

Manely Hair is an old-fashioned salon; by that I mean, it isn't about the frills, it's about the substance and the customer service. When you walk in you're greeted like an old friend, the environment is comfortable, relaxing and just enjoyable. The service is excellent and the abilities of their craft is on a high level. Tonii returned my hair style back to where it looks good all the time and I don't have ugly hair days anymore. I am so grateful to have found this little gem, that may get lost around the bigger, fancy salons; but it's charm and awesome atmosphere far surpass those fancy places in my estimation. I look forward to my appointments there.

I found Tonii and Manely Hair through Angie's List, and after a couple of years, I'm still going to her. This is the perfect, old fashioned beauty parlor, where you can come once a week to "get a set" if you want one! I go about once a month for a cut - some times styling, too - and Tonii always listens to what I want, never gives me the cut-of-the-week like many other places do. This time I came in wanting my hair shorter and more layered for the summer, and when I described what my hair was doing that needed to be corrected, she understood and fixed the problem. She looks at the shape of my face, the texture of my hair, and puts it all together with what I want. I hope she keeps working as long as I need hair cuts in Saint Petersburg!!!

When I arrived I was greeted very warmly. Tonii, the owner, spent time with me to find out my needs and any problems I may be having; so she had a good idea of how to proceed before she got started. I thought she was very thorough with her questions and the amount of time she took for this process. She then washed my hair and proceed to cut it; being sure she addressed the areas that were of concern to me. At one point she suggested that an area on the crown of my head be cut a bit shorter to blend with the front and give me the height I liked at the top; I was so pleased with that because I had been trying to get previous stylists to do that and was not successful. I was very happy with what Tonii did and feel good about how my hair looks, which I haven't been for a long while. I look forward to going back. Also, I loved the atmosphere in the salon; very friendly and caring.

It was a great experience. Tonii checked how my hair grows before washing it - unlike many stylists who just wash and assume the client's hair will comply with the cut. She talked to me continually about what I wanted and what she was doing - this was more difficult for her because I wasn't sure what I wanted. She was cautious about cutting and said if I decided it wasn't short enough, I could come back for an adjustment. The shop is a homey, neighborhood place, which I love. I will definitely be back - not for an adjustment, but for continued haircuts. I feel like I discovered a hidden gem, thanks to another member of Angie's List!

Tonii does a great job and is less expensive than most salons. She does exactly what you ask her to do.
