We interviewed many contractors and described the changes we wanted to make to our home. We chose Ken because he took the time to walk through the details with us and offered his guidance on what we might prioritize as our first project (replacing our carport with a two-car garage), second project (gutting the kitchen to the studs), and future projects (bathroom remodels). We’ve established a relationship with Ken that our family will continue to depend on. Our second project with Ken was our new kitchen. He drew up the designs and worked with us to get it just the way we wanted, updating his cost estimates along the way so we could budget accordingly. We could not even imagine doing a project like this without Ken as our general contractor! He organized all the permits, schedule, budget, and purchases; he also brought his hard-working, trustworthy crew (shout out to Jorge, Jorge, and Chuck) and coordinated the craftsmanship of qualified, courteous subcontractors (kudos to the masons, electricians, carpenters, tilers, and plumbers). Details of the job: create new kitchen window opening and install; new floors, Shaker RTI cabinets, granite countertops, lighting (including under cabinet), paint; and associated plumbing/electrical upgrades. We're not sharing an approximate cost because the work we wanted was specific to our goals. We will say that Ken's quote was not the cheapest (nor the most expensive, by far), but it was the most fair and best-aligned to our vision. He also laid out a fair payment schedule that allowed us to see that the work-in-progress aligned to monies owed. Even amidst COVID-19 challenges (quarantine then social distancing along with difficulty getting shipments and making inspector appointments), the project finished on budget. We highly recommend KR Fritz LLC!

Details of the job: remove existing two-car carport structure, add footers to support two-car garage, build garage walls using cinder block to match existing exterior, add roof connected to existing roof, relocate water heater, install washer/dryer, paint exterior to match existing color, add small slab for garbage/recycling cans, add privacy fence gate, and associated plumbing/electrical needs. Ken and his team did a great job on our kitchen remodel. This work was done while we were back at our main home in Ohio. We felt very comfortable with Ken's team in our home while we were away. Ken's price was the highest of the three estimates we received, but he definitely had the best vision for what our space could be. Our home was built in the 1930's, and the kitchen was closed off and not very functional. He opened up the space, moved a doorway to make more room for cabinetry, and made our kitchen both functional and beautiful. We had some issues with the tile work, but it was addressed and fixed to our satisfaction with no pushback. We would use Ken and his team again.

Ken Fritz and his team did a great job. Ken took care of the drawings, permits and making sure our inspections were done on timely manner. His team did a tremendous job at the end of the day keeping the mess to a minimum. But anytime you have the construction we had, there is a mess. They took their time to prep and keep the rest of the house as clean as possible. Always taking time at the end of the day to clean up. Their eye to detail and making sure everything fit as planned was unbelievable. They were not in hurry to finish us up to rush to another job. Ken did a fantastic job lining up the other subs and stayed on site to make sure all were on the same page. He even gave us some great suggestions on ideas when it came to style of cabinets and counter tops. My wife and I could not be any happier and we are sure you will be too when you use Ken Fritz.

The contractor stayed on top of the project from start to finish. He very consistently contacted us to tell us who would be at the project each day, so that we were never left to wonder what would happen on any given day. The subcontractors were always on time, very professional and careful to keep the work area and surroundings neat and clean. The job was perfectly aligned with the projected pricing, and a couple of project add-ons were handled with no issues. We were very pleased with the finished project and are planning to use the contractor for another home remodel project very soon.

KR FRITZ Construction was great to work with and Ken came in under budget on our project! His crew came to work each day on time, worked all day and cleaned work area before leaving. Ken came by each day to supervise and keep the project going smoothly. Our new bathroom is gorgeous and adds value to our home. We’re so glad we chose Ken to do our project and we will have him back to do other projects in the future!

Ken Fritz and his team did an outstanding job on 2 bathrooms so we had him come back and renovate our kitchen with all new cabinets and countertops. He was excellent wihen communicating who would be coming to work and what they would accomplish. We is very professional, honest, and reliable. He was on time and on budget! We would highly recommend him!

Ken Fritz is the most responsive contractor in the world. He returns emails within hours, text messages within minutes. He came in UNDER budget and on time. And he's willing to get creative. I wanted sliding barn doors, he found really nice sliding barn doors. I wanted composite flooring, but I wanted it to blend with the pine flooring in the rest of the house, so Ken met me at the supply place and helped me find the perfect material. Ken had fabulous subcontractors, who show up on time and get the work done efficiently, Their prices are all great too. And Ken has some great crews of his own. This was a big job and they spent a lot of time at my house. They offered to take care of other broken things in my house. Ken wasn't the absolute cheapest. But his prices were pretty competitive. Given the level of service, I have to believe he's the genuine prince among a field of hucksters.

The job went very well. His personnel are skilled and professional. The job site was always clean. He uses quality subcontractors that are also skilled and professional. The work is excellent which is very hard to find anywhere. Ken calls to let you know what is happening and when. He is very honest, again something rare in this industry. If you're looking for someone to do baths, a kitchen or full home remodel including design Ken is the person you want to work with. I used to select contractors professionally for a large construction firm and having dealt with hundreds of companies would recommend KR Fritz as an excellent professional firm.

Ken came out and looked at our kitchen and took our measurements for a Kitchen remodel. He then drew up a plan with a few options. Ken is highly professional and an upstanding guy.  He answered all our questions and was prompt in getting our plans done. We would highly recommend Ken for anyone in need of plans.

They were really quick and were careful to make sure there was no load when they started cutting the framing out. I asked if they they could run a beam over length of pass through since it was a large span (116 inches long) but they said it wasn't necessary. Still not sure it was done the best way but will take thier word that nothing will sag or fail in the future. Overall pleased with work.

The service was great. The lead designer came in one morning took the measurements and gave us a plan what we could do to the bathroom. We were very satisfied. The quality of the work he did was to our expectations.

The drawings turned out great.  We used them as a guide for how we put our new kitchen cabinets together.

Bought an Angie's List coupon for 8 hours of carpentry work, hoping that would be enough to transform my very small linen closet into a larger one.  Mr. Fritz came to my home and assessed the project, advised me that the work could take longer than 8 hours and I would also have to purchase the new folding doors I wanted installed (which was reasonable!).  He was able to find doors which fit perfectly, at a very reasonable price.
Day of the install two workers and Mr. Fritz came to the house to get the job started.  They were on time and very polite.  The two workers stayed for the day to complete the project.  The new larger closet looks great and they cleaned up fairly well (other than a lot of dust which I cleaned up myself).  I felt it took the guys longer than I had expected to complete the job and so it cost more than I had expected, but Mr. Fritz explained the charges to my satisfaction and overall I was very happy with the work that was done.
In retrospect I wish I had asked more questions up front about how much time the project would take so I would have been better prepared for the bill.  Mr. Fritz feels he shouldn't rush his workers because cutting corners or hurrying will affect the quality of the job, which is likely true!  Overall, I was treated fairly, the work was very well done and I would use Mr. Fritz's services again.
