Installers did not show up on scheduled appointment day. No one from company called .I called them and they said they would come out the next day at 8:00 am. so they could be finished by 2:00 pm. when I had to leave. The crew showed up at 10:30 am. stating no one told them any particular time. They did not finish the job and as this was a Saturday. My house was a mess until they returned on Monday.They also did not have all the material on the truck,and I had to drive to the store to pick it up for them twice.Before they left I noticed a waxy residue on the laminate and asked them to clean it They said they did not know how to clean it and left. I called the General Manager of JB Carpets and he said that he had no intentions of cleaning my floor. I asked to speak to the  owner and got his voice mail in which he never returned my call. I had to hire a professional cleaning service to get rid of the residue.

Work not performed.  Poor sales experience.

Excellent to deal with! After checking 4 places for carpet we went to JB since our neighbor was pleased with the tile he bought from them. Our sales rep, Patricia, went above and beyond. We had other estimates but Patricia wasn't sure about the measurements from the other companies, so she came to the house to measure herself, then had the remnant we purchased unrolled to be sure it would fit, which it did, perfectly. We scheduled the install for just a few days later. Our installer, Nate, was professional, friendly, and punctual. He removed the old carpet, cleaned the floor, swept the baseboards, and installed the new carpet. He even vacuumed the entire room before leaving. We got top-quality carpet with a full 20-year warranty at an excellent price.

The work was good, but they had a problem with the time. They were supposed to be there at a certain time, and they got this all mixed up. When they did get there, they did a good job.

JB's had an extensive remnant selection. I found two matching, very high quality pieces, that were at a great price. After I found these I continued by search to make sure these were the best. When I returned to buy them, Helen, my sale assistant, was not there. The salesmen were of NO help once they found I was Helen's customer. You can tell they work on commission! I had to come back the next day and Helen professionally handled the sale.

They only laid 12x12 because there was existing tile (which I wanted to have covered). The instructions were to call 1/2 hour before arrival, but they only called 5 minutes before arrival. It took 30 minutes for me to get there from work. A relative had the keys and let them in. By the time I got there, they had already cut the piece of carpet I had bought to 12x12 and basically ruined the job. They refused to credit me for the square footage installation charge based on 12x16 that I paid for after only installing 12x12. Basically, they were unresponsive and hostile and I would not recommend them to anyone based on my experience.

The pricing was about average. I went with them on recommendations and found them to be very punctual and hard workers. When they said 7:30 am, they meant 7:30 am. A very pleasant surprise given half the challenge is just getting people to show up at all! And they worked right through lunch! They did it all in less than 2 days. The floor came out great. My only gripe would be that there's a tremendous amount of sawdust created from installing this much floor, and they are only willing to sweep up after the install. You could see the dust all over the floors and even on the curtains and walls in the room they used to cut the wood. It took us 1/2 a day to vacuum and mop the floors 3 times! I don't know if another company would have done a better job cleaning up or if that's just the norm. At any rate, we are happy with the experience.

This company is such a disappointment. All they care about is your money, not the customer or the quality of the installation. I would never recommend this company!

THE CARPET WE PICKED WAS REALLY PRICEY ($45/YARD) AND IT LOOKED GREAT. THE INSTALLERS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, LEFT THE PLACE CLEAN. THE CARPET CAME IN AS PROMISED AND DELIVERY SCHEDULED TO OUR CONVENIENCE. MY ONLY NEGATIVE COMMENT IS THAT THERE SEEMED TO BE A LOT OF WASTED CARPET BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THAT WAS A FUNCTION OF ROOM SHAPE OR WIDTH OF THE ROLL OF CARPET.

POSSIBLY THE WORST PLACE WE HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. WENT INTO THIS LARGE CARPET SELLER THINKING WE WOULD GET GOOD SERVICE, WE WERE VERY WRONG. TOOK FOREVER FOR SOMEONE TO WAIT ON US. WENT BACK THE NEXT WEEK AND ORDERED AN EXPENSIVE WOOL AREA RUG. BEFORE WE EVEN PLACED THE ORDER, THEY TOLD US THE RUG WOULD BE IN WITHIN 1 WEEK. AFTER 2 WEEKS, WE CALLED AND SOMEONE SAID THEY WOULD GET BACK TO US. NO ONE DID. AFTER A FEW MORE DAYS WE CALLED AND GOT THE SAME SONG & DANCE. THIS WENT ON FOR 5 WEEKS!!! THEY NEVER SAID THE CARPET WAS ON BACK ORDER OR GAVE ANY REASON, THEY SIMPLY NEVER CALLED US BACK. WE WOULD HAVE CANCELLED AT THE BEGINNING BUT THEY KEPT PROMISING IT WOULD BE THERE IN 2-3 DAYS. AFTER NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS (MOST UNRETURNED), CARPET ARRIVED THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING, LITERALLY HOURS BEFORE ALL OF OUR COMPANY ARRIVED. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. I REALIZE EXPERIENCES VARY BUT WE LITERALLY SPOKE TO EVERY SALES AGENT THERE AND EVEN TO THE OWNER AND GOT NO RESPONSE.
