We purchased a generator to prepare for the hurricane season. We wanted to be able to connect generator directly to the breaker box. Dan came out and gave us an estimate for the work that would need to be done. He was very professional and informative.

Dan was responsive, professional and easy to work with. I would absolutely hire him again and recommend him to anyone.

It went fine. The new setup corrects the original problem, and is a much better wiring solution.

My A/C guy recommended Izzo Electric to replace a wire that had worn bare and was touching the electrical box for my compressor, shorting out the unit. In less than 20 minutes onsite, the wire was replaced. Without providing any estimate before starting the work, Dan Izzo replaced the wire and told me the charge was $250. Outrageous! When I asked for a receipt - it simply said "replaced wire" with no details as to materials, labor, or anything. And on top of that, he left dirty hand prints all over the wall near the junction box. I will never use his "services" again.

His team arrived right on time and worked tirelessly throughout the day. Did a professional installation and cleaned up afterwards.

Guys came out and fixed 2 of them. One outside one inside and a wall switch.

I called and left a message with Izzo Electric. Unlike some other highly rated companies, Izzo returned my call within 24 hours. We set a date and time (this was not an emergency). Dan Izzo contacted me before he came over and arrived as scheduled. He worked quickly and diligently and cleaned up completely when he was done. I was very pleased. I also thought his charge was very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Short Read: Most competitively priced, always on time, professional, highly responsive (even on Sunday evenings), impeccable work, highly efficient, easy scheduling, cleaned up after the job, and very friendly. Long Read: I had 5 electricians out for quotes. Dan was the only one that was on time and was the only one that could write up a quote onsite at the end of the appointment. He was one of the most competitively priced options and was highly responsive even before I officially hired him. I had to beg many of the other electricians to provide me with quotes weeks after the initial meeting. Dan was also the only electrician to be forthcoming about expectations for holes in my ceiling. Part of my house has a flat roof with no attic access and he pointed out that they would have to create a few holes to run wiring the way I wanted it. NONE of the other electricians brought this up and when I asked they agreed they would have to put holes in my ceiling. After agreeing to work with Dan, he pulled the permit and I put down a modest deposit. He was highly responsive (and patient) as I had many questions while purchasing the various light fixtures and fans for the project. Dan showed up on time the first day of the project with two employees to begin work. They installed a new breaker box/panel, ran wiring for & installed a lot of outdoor lighting, ran wiring for & installed multiple fans, and installed outdoor outlets. He kept me posted the whole time and even gave some recommendations for dimmer switches and the positioning of the lights & outlets. I have since had Dan out to do an installation at my mom's property and she also had a great experience. By far the best experience I have had for hiring contractors for projects on my house so far. You'd be silly to hire someone else.

Dan was great. Very professional and took the time to educate me on the problems and exactly what was required to remedy the situation appropriately. Upon re-inspection he called the owners out on not pulling a permit and not doing the requested work to code, sent pictures and provided information necessary for us to go back to the sellers and finally remedy the situation. I will definitely use Dan for any further work that needs to be done when we start our remodel.

My wife & I are first time homebuyers and during the process of purchasing our home, we had to hire a home inspector to look over the place. During our inspector's thorough review, he brought to our attention a number of electrical issues and he highly recommended that we get an expert to further inspect the house. We were referred to Izzo Electric and we are absolutely thankful for that! After speaking with Dan on the phone, I emailed him the electrical portion of our inspection and we set a date for his inspection. This guy knows his stuff! He showed up right on time and immediately sprung into action. After an extremely thorough review of our home, he backed up our inspector's findings in laymen's terms plus he found a few additional items that our home inspector missed that could have caused problems with the insurance company's inspection. Dan gave us a very reasonable estimate of repairs and we went back to the seller. After we closed on our home, the very next day Dan & his crew were out on our property fixing the home inspection repairs, he installed a garbage disposal circuit, they repaired the cloth wiring issue up in our attic, and he installed electricity to our tool shed. They were right on time and once again, they went right to work. Dan & his crew are highly professional, honest, friendly, organized, and their service is excellent!

I had a call into my warranty company (American Home Shield) to fix ceiling fans that were no longer working along with a light switch in my detached garage. The technician that initially came out was from Rand R Electric. This company was late to the appointment and then said the fan was not working due to a faulty remote control (which was not covered under warranty) and the garage issue was due to a wiring problem outside the garage. I called Izzo Electric for a second opinion because I knew the fan remote was perfectly fine. Dan came out from Izzo Electric and he tested all connections (which Rand R did not do) and found there was no electric going to the fans. Dan went into the attic, found lose wiring and fixed the problem on the spot. Dan also found the short in the garage and fixed that immediately as well. The issue was not outside the garage at all and should have also been covered by my warranty company. Dan showed up on time (Rand R was late to their scheduled time) and fixed it for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend using Izzo Electric for any and all of your needs.

We are very happy with the quality of work and responsiveness of Dan Izzo, the business owner. The replacement of three breaker panels was done as a result of our new property insurance company not accepting the existing breaker panels and the work had to be done within a week. Dan was the only contractor willing/able to do that. He replaced all three breaker panels and a total of about 60 breakers in one very long day. There were a few follow- up items that he attended to within 24 hours of our request. Dan does the main work himself with the help of an assistant if necessary. He is a great example of a small business owner that shows pride of workmanship and ownership and was great to deal with. His prices are also very competitive. He is now our go to electrician.

I just joined Angies list as I recently purchased a condo and have had bad luck finding help on craigs list and other sites. I called Izzo Electrical and Dan and Josh were at my condo the next day. They were prompt, on time and very helpful- we had multiple lighting fixtures that need changed that we didnt have bulbs for and instead of leaving me to go get them, Dan ran out and purchased anything he didnt already have in his truck- we also had a broken outdoor fan and multiple outlets not working. Everything was fixed 100% when they left and they took the time to sweep up any minor dust they made! Will use them for all future electric work and recommend A+ service!

Thank God we chose Dan and his company!!! We had our upstairs bedroom receptacles out but none of the breakers were tripped. Dan found a loose wire in a outlet and fixed the issue. It took a little time to track down which outlet it was but Dan was confident he would find where the break was. Very pleasant and polite. Returned my phone call within 5 minutes. And it was fixed the same day.

It all went very well. Dan and his assistant Josh were very efficient with their time and had to do work in uncomfortable, small spaces like the attic and in a 2 foot crawl space under the house. They did a great job in such a short time and the price was very reasonable for the work done. We would recommend Sunset Electric.
