GRADO PAINTING

Our new apt needed TLC as it was built in 1930 & required good preparation before painting. This job was clearly described for the painter at the site. It seemed to be going well, although he argued w/our paint store & as a result didn't use the right paint color for part of the job. We're very pressed for time as a moving day was already set & I was traveling on business while he painted. We paid this painter in CASH as requested. We're told he would return for touch ups & anything else needed to finish the job. When we moved into the apartment we began to see problems w/the job, places where no paint had been applied, no prep had actually been done, spots where other color paint had accidentally hit a wall. We called him & he promised to come back, but kept putting us off. He then stopped taking our calls completely & although we warned him we wouldn't accept this, he has stonewalled us. They finally returned to complete the work but it took more then 4 months to get this resolved.
