GB Pool Service

I spoke with a woman at the office and told her I don't feel it's right charging me $90.00 for a mistake made by their employee. I then said I will cancel my service if this bill is not adjusted and got a statement from her don't threaten me. Yesterday their service man didn't show up so I called them and was told my service was cancelled. These people are obnoxious and rude and I made no requests that weren't fare. Don't ever deal with these people as the customer does not come first in their mind.

lyAfter receiving by mail a promo flyer for pool cleaning services, I called GB Pools to see if their $58/mo advertised price applied to my uncovered, Fibretech coated pool. June, the company representative said yes and confirmed info on the flyer as follows:
Advertised services include:"Keeping pool balanced, Algae Treatment, Chemicals, Clean Tile, Skimming, Brushing, Empty Baskets, Clean Filter as needed....by Highly Skilled Personnel"
I paid $58.00 in advance for a month of weekly service and on the second visit I agreed to purchase new filter cartridges for my filtration system from GB at market price.
Since then, only shock and chlorine have been added, the filter has not been cleaned and except for mentioning that the pool water was over-stabilized, no recommendations were ever made to correct the water chemistry. The tech did scrub the sides of the pool, empty the skimmer basket and toss powdered shock into the pool without dispersing it.
Today I spoke with the owner who argued with the results of my recent independent water analysis demonstrating 3 chemical out of balance, he denied responsibility for any chemical treatments other than chlorine and shock and rather than offer to step up efforts to keep my new filter cartridges clean, actually told me that my filtration system was the worst one available. Casting blame on my system for which he sold me parts only 5 weeks earlier was the final straw and I told him I could no longer use his service.  He hung up on me with no apology.
False advertising, poor service and bad attitude are definitely unacceptable business practices. Run, don't walk away from GB Pool Service. Not finding them on Angie's List should have been my first clue!
