I paid $2800. in 6/17 to have a 900 sq ft area restored. They only go where the machine will reach. Along side the toilet and the entire perimeter for 1-2" out is still the old Terrazzo without a shine and not restored. You pay for every single old nail hole and imperfection that they have to fill. However, most of their fills fall out and you are left with holes and gouges again. Many communications to the owner are left unanswered. They stole from me and it took several emails and texts for them to return items. At that, not all was returned. And...by coincidence, my place was broken into a few days later while I was not living here yet but some of my belongings were. Several hundred dollars worth of items were stolen. Finish Line Floors were the only ones knowing I wasn't in the house yet. They do not stand behind their product nor do they seal the Terrazzo. The floor is quite porous and everything seeps in and doesn't come out even with their suggested stain removal suggestions. I would never recommend them. What a racket with bad people at the helm.

We had a salesman come by and look at our terrazzo floor. We wanted it refinished, but only if it wouldn’t ruin the adjacent laminate, which was in our dining room and family rooms. There were three areas where the terrazzo abutted the laminate, the foyer, the hallway and kitchen-dining room door. We were assured that their process would protect the laminate from water, which ruins it. After the kitchen was done, the bordering laminate was in pretty good shape. The next day, however, they ground the hallway and somehow managed to absolutely soak the family room laminate. It appeared as though they had let the grinder, which uses water, sit and drip on the laminate after they were done using it. Bottom line: They ruined about 30 square feet, which, since the floor is out of production, meant the whole floor was ruined. $2300 dollars in damage and we had to file a claim with their insurance company. PLUS, now we have to move all of our family and dining room furniture out of the house while the floor is being replaced. AND they actually had the nerve to charge us for the job. I can’t warn people away from this business enough.
Response from Finish Line Floors, Inc
"This review has taken me by surprise. We do take precautions to protect our clients property but in this case water got through our barrier and wet the floating floor in the living room. We immediately offered to replace the damaged area with a box of extra flooring on hand. Replace the flooring with another floor of their choice. Or, remove the flooring and restore the terrazzo as we did in the bed rooms and hall. The owner informed me she wanted to file a claim with our insurance company and that was fine with me also. After the claim was paid, we submitted a bill and received a check."

Barry Trahan the owner of Finish Line Floors was very helpful and informative about the process in his on site visit with me.  He takes great pride in his work.  He gave me the address of a commercial business where he did a floor that was his masterpiece so i could see his work.  He was available by phone to answer my questions.  His on site worker, Jose was diligent, prompt and also went out of his way to make the job perfect and he also took pride in his work.  Honest, competent and professional.  Very highly recommend.

All I can "say" the floors look FABULOUS!!!! Like glass! Two young gentlemen came to do the work. Very professional and neat. I was also educated on the care of my floors. I will use them yearly now. Next time will have the Grinding and buffing done. Cost is so reasonable! Job "WOW"! Highly recommend them.

My terrazzo floors were installed in 1956 when my husband designed and built our home.  The guest room carpet had been over the terrazzo for 37 years and it had a red pad under it.  I was advised that in the traffic areas some of that stain may not disappear w/ the refinishing and I decided to "go for it" anyway.  The living room carpet had been changed w/in the last 20 years so that pad was much nicer and left no stains.  The worst place on the terrazzo was where a short wall had been fastened to the floor w/ nails and possibly cement; the nails left holes and the cement left a mess that had to be ground down.  I was advised again that there may be a stain left in that spot also.  Again, I decided to "go for it."  I'm glad they prepared me for the worst because my floors look amazing!!  The red stains from that old, hard, stuck-to-the-floor carpet pad in the guest room are virtually gone.  And where the wall was attached to the floor: all I can say is if "you" came in my house and looked at my floors you'd never see that spot.  And the good news is there will be a piece of furniture either over it or so close to it that the shadow from the furniture will hide it.  Even though I know it's there I have to look hard to find it.  The young man who completed my job was conscientious of my new kitchen cabinets (yes I know, this should have been done before the kitchen cabinets were installed but I wasn't going to do this job until later and then changed my mind!!) and made sure to protect them as well as the walls and other areas of my home.  He did a good job of cleaning up at the end of the job and because I was asked to move out of the house for three nights during this process because of the strong odor of the epoxy used to fill holes (and yes it was a very strong odor!!), I felt very comfortable giving him the key to my home.  I am so pleased w/ the work and my floors look new again.  I'm so glad I decided to do this now because not only do I have a new kitchen, I have floors in the entire house that look new.  I would definitely recommend Finish Line Floors, Inc, again to anyone.

Barry Trahan, the owner of this business, and his job supervisor, Rob, completely restored the terrazzo floors throughout my home. It took a week to accomplish this and they worked diligently to make this happen as quickly and professionally as possible. I recommend this organization highly for terrazzo work. This is definitely their specialty.

What a pleasure to deal with true professionals. Job well done ! Barry pre-reviewed floors to determine it could be restored. Nathan and Jose did a great job in the restoration process. They were timely, diligent, and hard working. The refinished floor looks great, I am very glad I used their services. These were original Terrazzo floors from 1968 that had been covered by carpeting for decades.

Honest and professional from the owner to all workers. Bought a 1960 slab with terrazzo throughout home that had the terrazzo restored in the bedrooms, long hallway, living room, and dining room by a competitor previously. Finish Line came highly recommended by several home owners in the neighborhood with beautiful terrazzo floors. When Barry used the hand grinder to test the foyer area that I had removed tile from we discovered the discoloration on the adjacent living room floor that we believed to be caused by a carpet pad came up when he used the hand grinder. This should not have happened as carpet pad stains are not removed during the grinding process. Without knowing which company (including his) did the previous restoration, or when, Barry speculated the company did not allow at least 24 hours for the terrazzo to dry before sealing it following the recutting/regrounding process which is done using a great deal of water. I opted to have the whole house reground/recut instead of simply buffing the previously refinished areas to restore the shine. I am extremely happy with the results of my decision and the hard work of the Finish Line workers. The floor areas which looked so heavily stained came out several shades lighter and the unsightly patches the other company made were chipped up and replaced by much less noticeable, I can still see them but visitors do not, patches. The kitchen and foyer which I removed the tile from came out better than Barry, who is a perfectionist, led me to expect. He was worried about grid lines remaining from the 20+ year old tile flooring. He was right about that in the foyer and it is noticeable as the eye is drawn to patterns but the kitchen came out lovely. Again I am pleased with the results and would not hesitate to use Finish Line again. Out of curiosity I called the previous owner to find out which company had restored/refinished the floors for him and and when. I was shocked to find out it was only two years ago and no the company was not Finish Line. You truly get what you pay for and Finish Line is well worth it.

We just purchased a house in Belleair Bluffs which had carpets over Terrazzo. Finish Line Floors removed the carpet and completely restored the terrazzo for $2.50 per square foot with an additional $250 to cover nail-hole restoration (from removing the carpet strips). The floors came out as shiny marble and are really beautiful. We could not have had a better floor than this with any other material for the price. The overall quality of the work was superior and the price was fantastic.
