They have always provided me with an excellent service. I have been a repeat customer and so have been my neighbors. The are the best and they've been in the business for over 100 years. I would definitely recommend to everyone I know.

They worked on my nextdoor neighbors roof. I made sure to ask the workers if it was safe for me to park in my usual parking spot - which is in my driveway but we share an alley. The workers assured me parking there would be NO PROBLEM at all. On my lunch break at work the next day, my tire clearly had a nail in it. Took it to Bob Lees on 4th (love them) and he said they will patch it and I’ll be good to go. They were unable to patch it, i needed a whole new tire - and he saved the roofing nail for me. I have been told by multiple experts that you should never replace one tire at a time, so I decided to just replace all 4 to be safe. I also had to take a $15 x2 uber there and back to my work. I had to take time off work to go pick up my car. You can see how this ordeal is starting to add up for me. When I called the roofing company I was extremely respectful and understanding that mistakes happen and I would appreciate a resolution. I kept being told I would get a call back and didn’t hear from the owner for 4 days. The girl on the phone told me this happens to them all the time. In the meantime, one of their workers HIT ON ME in front of all of his coworkers at 7AM in the morning. I’m a 29 year old woman that lives alone and this guy obviously knows where i live. How uncomfortable and so unprofessional! Every morning I had to deal with them all gawking at me. When the owner finally called me back - he was so rude to me I couldn’t believe it! I was so calm and understanding up to this point. He told me that there was no way the roofing nail was from him. Omg! It’s literally my next door neighbors roof. He said he would only pay for the cost of a used tire. I would never ask them to pay for all 4 because that was my choice- but cmon you’re not going to offer to pay for even the full cost of 1 or 2? He didn’t even apologize and he was talking to me like i made the story up or i was lying. I didn’t ask for him to pay for the Ubers or the time off work. If this happens to them all the time, like his office manager said, maybe they should include that MISC expense in their estimates. I am baffled that a business owner treats people this way - he was so disrespectful to me. This guy does not deserve your roofing business.

I hired them based on reviews to do a second home in New Port Richey over the phone from Tennessee. They kept me well informed, called about any problems or changes. They did an excellent job, promptly and well.

They did a nice job and I was very pleased. Their price was reasonable compared to other companies and they were very cooperative. They salesperson I felt was very comprehensive and gave me some good advise. I like that they come out each year at no charge to check your roof, so as to detect any potential issues before they become problems.

Some shingles are not laying flat. We are told they will lay flat after the heat hits them after a few months.

I would strongly recommend against using Duncan Roofs. Not only because of the horrible workmanship but because of their unscrupulous business practices. Duncan performed the work June 14-17. It is now August 20th that I write this review. I am still engaged with Duncan and, now, their insurance company to resolve these matters. It has taken a considerable amount of my time and constantly staying on top of Duncan to get them to stand by their words. Nine weeks after them finishing the roof, I am continuing to battle with them to correct poor workmanship and severe damage to my property. The biggest, and most expensive to correct, complaint is that they caused extensive damage to my driveway. There is an approximately 6 foot in diameter crater caused by their activities. It has effectively damaged two 8'x10' concrete pads. For the first four weeks after completing the roof, Duncan told me they would take care of the damage. After coming to inspect, and realizing the difficulty of matching my stamped concrete pattern, they placed blame on the delivery company. However, I did not hire the delivery company, I hired Duncan only. They pointed fingers at the delivery company for another 4 weeks before they decided to claim that the damage was existing. I am now engaged with the insurance companies of both Duncan and the delivery company. This has been an uphill battle and something I expect to have to deal with indefinitely. If you have already hired Duncan, absolutely do not let them put their equipment on your driveway or any other part of you property you do not want destroyed. If you are considering Duncan, continue reading and think long and hard before you do. The workmanship performed is horrendous. They got tar on every single surface that was underneath the perimeter of my roof. It is all over my driveway, public sidewalk, private sidewalks, pool deck, backyard deck and my A/C unit. Duncan acted like it was no big deal and would "wipe right off". It took repeated attempts (5) of me arranging for them to come out and clean. After the 5th visit (8 weeks later) more than 50% of the tar remains. That, also, is now being handled by their insurance company. I should mention that on week 9, the insurance company is trying to find someone that can do the cleanup... Absolutely, don't let them do any of the wood replacement if it is needed. Where they replaced fascia boards, the cuts were uneven and joints were made with gaps. They don't paint or caulk. And I recently noticed that many of these boards are now coming loose and are getting warped. It looks like they didn't use enough nails. I notified Duncan of this two weeks ago and it is still unresolved. For the last nine weeks, every time it rains, tons of granules are washed off my roof onto the same surfaces that have tar (i.e. concrete). It is one of the things the city inspector made them come back to do (brush off excessive granules). Apparently, they still didn't do a good job. This is just a nuisance but one I felt could have been handled better. Never mind that they told me the job would take 1 day and it took 4. Granted, they left early one day because of rain. I'll give them that. The lack of overall professionalism is hard to express. They do a good job leading you on with the professional sales man that comes out to explain the contract and the letter they send out to your neighbors apologizing for any noise. They are great at invoicing you the minute the city inspector signs off on the job... by emailing, calling and texting. All those efforts despite the fact I paid them that very day... They actually agreed that I pay 90% of the invoice, until the issues I mentioned were resolved (read: admission of fault). Assuring me that everything would be taken care of. Nine (9) weeks later, there is still tar everywhere (including my A/C), fascia boards coming loose, drip shield all banged up and driveway still damaged. So Duncan decides to threaten me with a lien on my house because I haven't paid the 10% remaining. This is what you can expect if you hire Duncan. I would also like to mention that Bob Duncan made a veiled threat when to me when he came out to look at my driveway. When I told them my expectation was that it be repaired to a condition that it was prior to their damage, he stated that I was being unreasonable. He said they couldn't match the pattern and I told him that wasn't my problem. He then stated that he better leave because he was getting angry and I wouldn't want to see him angry. If you run into a situation where Mr. Duncan or anyone else from Duncan comes out to address an issue, I recommend you use your phone, or other device, to video the conversation. One of the reasons I chose Duncan was because of the 20 year warranty on materials and workmanship. I am now terrified that I paid all this money and that they will handle issues with the roof the way they've handled everything else. I would never recommend Duncan to anyone for any reason. My strongest recommendation would be to find another company. Now I know why they had the most competitive price..... I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and Pinellas County Consumer Protection where you can see more details about how Duncan operates.

Initially the work appeared satisfactory, however within one year our roof was leaking. Duncan's response to our request for warranty repairs was very lacking, we were told that they were quite busy and they could not get out to fix the problem for three months and that we should poke a hole in our ceiling to allow the water to drain and prevent the ceiling from coming down (good advice, however a very inadequate response time) eventually they made it out to repair the roof, which took three attempts as the roof continued to leak over the next two years, eventually they found the problem spot and repaired it. This past year we developed another, much more serious leak in a different location. I attempted to call Duncan to repair the leak and they did not return my first two phone calls to them, so I contacted another contractor for an estimate to the repair the roof, who promptly returned my call and where on site for the estimate the next day. Their estimator said that my roof looked like it was 40 years old and that I likely had defective shingles, the leak could not be repaired short of a complete re-roof. After this I attempted to contact Duncan again since it appeared that I had to make use of the manufactures warranty, this time they actually answered the phone and scheduled someone to come out for the "repair", their repair tech had the same opinion that the shingles were defective and the roof needs to be replaced. He told me that someone would call me the next day to schedule an estimator and to prepare the warranty package. Shingles need to be removed, photos taken and other paperwork that needs to be sent to manufacture. They did send someone out to remove sample shingles and take the photographs, however I am not sure if they ever sent them to the manufacture. A month later I contacted Atlas (the manufacture) they stated that they had not received the warranty package and that I should get a tracking number. I contacted Duncan again since they never sent anyone out to prepare the estimate and to get the tracking number. They provided me with an estimate and sent someone out to once again remove shingles and take pictures for the warranty package. I was told that this was to be sent out certified mail. A month after that the manufacture stated that they have not received the warranty package. I have been getting nothing but excuses and postponements from Duncan for the past month and a half of attempting to get the tracking number to provide the manufacture so they can get started on their review of the shingles which will take 45 business days Meanwhile my roof is still leaking and all I hear from Duncan is "were sorry we are unable to take your call at the moment..." If you want the worst possible customer service possible and a defective product use Duncan Roofs. If you want repeated leaks for over ten years use Duncan Roofs. If you want to have to re-roof your 30 year roof after 11 years costing you thousands use Duncan Roofs If you want to listen to an answering machine call Duncan Roofs. If you want your roof repaired right... go somewhere else.

A large crew arrived early and removed existing shingles.  Only needed one sheet of wood for 2 small areas replaced.  Work was completed the same day.  Roof is beautiful with covered ridge vents and a seamless weave where straight edges meet. Crew was professional and respectful and left premises very neat and clean.  Neighbors were amazed at the speed and beauty of the roof installation.  Neighbor with roof leaks wanted them to replace their roof but went with someone else only because there was a several week wait.  This is a very busy time for roofers.  If you don't have leaks better to wait for fall or winter.

City Inspector approved workmanship on first trip.

To begin with, proposal was professionally presented indicating everything that would be provided as to labor and materials.  Package included copies of insurance, License,  Certificate from GAF showing exclusive status of Master Elite Weather Stopper Roofing Contractor for GAF.  Only 3% of roofing contractors in North America have achieved Master Elite Status.

Did not collect any money until work was completed and at that time submitted a Waiver Of Lien.  Have since received from GAF my 50 year warranty which meant Duncan promptly submitted my warranty information.

I would highly recommend Duncan.

This is my third roof with them.  One on my parent's home many years ago and one 21 years ago at current home.
