 + -1 moreI wanted to turn an old window pane into a mirror to hang on the wall of our house. Dave and I brainstormed about how that could be accomplished. He had great insights and ideas to offer me and finished the project in about two weeks. And the window/mirror is just what I wanted -- and it turned out better than I had even hoped. I will go to Davidson's with all my framing projects. I'm glad I didn't tackle this project on my own.
Description of Work: Turning an old window pane into a mirror to hang on a wall. Involved choosing and cutting the mirror, and providing a means to hang the window -- strong wires, hangers and hooks in the window frame.

 + -1 moreMY OVERALL EXPERIENCES HAVE BEEN SO GOOD THAT I WILL NOT GET MATTING OR FRAMING DONE ANYWHERE ELSE.
Description of Work: I'VE HAD SEVERAL JOBS PERFORMED BY DAVIDSON FINE ART. THE MOST RECENT WAS CUSTOM FRAMING FOR A POSTER WITH NO MAT. THEY SET THE POSTER SLIGHTLY RECESSED FROM THE GLASS SO THAT AS LITTLE OF THE POSTER WOULD BE EDGED OFF. THEY REPLACED THE ORIGINAL GLASS WITH UV PROTECTED GLASS FOR ONLY THE COST OF THE GLASS EVEN THOUGH IT WAS MY MISTAKE FOR NOT ASKING FOR THE UV GLASS WHEN ORDERING THE FRAME. AND THEY PERFORMED ALL OF THIS OVER THE WEEK HURRICANE CHARLIE CAME THROUGH SO THEY HAD TO MOVE ALL OF THEIR WORK TO A NON-EVACUATION ZONE. EVEN SO, ALL WORK WAS PERFORMED IN VERY TIMELY MANNER. ON ANOTHER JOB, THEY CHOSE THE MATTING FOR ME AND DID A GREAT JOB SELECTING THE MAT.
