CARROLL'S BUILDING MATERIALS

I've spent more than $15,000 in Carroll's building materials since I bought my home in 2005. I know it doesn't sound like a whole bunch, but it is to me. Recently I purchased some MSI Gold Rush corner Pieces for the last phase of my new front porch poles. I went in and I relied on the individual behind the counter to order the correct amount. I told him the square footage I gave him the sizes and dimensions of each pole. He told me that I needed 24 boxes and charged me $1,152 for the corners. As it ended up, the gentleman had ordered 18 boxes more than I needed, almost $900 worth of stone. I called Carroll's ask them to rectify the situation and at first he told me no and then they said that he would pass it to the manager and the manager would call me. He did not call me so I drove there on the weekend. The manager stated that I could not return the unopened material for any reason. I explained him that the error was made by a Carroll's expert at the front desk based on the numbers that I gave him and the manager basically told me tough luck. They refused to do anything to help resolve the situation, or even try to make it right. I will not be using Carroll's Building Materials ever again nor will I ever recommend the company to anyone. This is not the way you should treat 10 year returning customers.

Excellent. Quoted me a relatively fair price to begin with, and readily came down when I noted another place I had gone to and the prices I was seeing. Delivered on date/time specified. Placed exactly where I wanted them. Also gave me an honest assesment of how much I would need so I did not overorder. No hassles. Not the cheapest, but certainly a fair price and worth paying for the service/honesty/reliability.

I contacted them for a quote and got a very fast response from their sales team. I scheduled delivery after comparison shopping. I had to reschedule the delivery (my choice) because of a possible hurricane that was coming our way and they were very accommodating. The delivery was first thing in the morning and very quick, leaving the rest of the day for us to work on the project. Their estimate of volume needed was very accurate based on the measurements I gave them as well.
