We have a technician in our home at least once a month to try to "repair" our internet connection.
Most recently,They downgraded our cable service to basic cable without notifying us, to the point that i called to complain that some channels were missing, and they sent a technician to my address. I stayed home from work for this service call, just to be told that those channels were no longer included in my cable package, and I would need to upgrade and pay more to get them.
This month, they also took my card number over the phone to make a payment, and then proceeded to charge the payment to the account on file. Then told me it would take over a week to fix the error.
Customer service is a nightmare. They have previously told me they were giving me a deal to lower my monthly costs, and downgraded services without notifying me in order to do so.
Bottom line, if you have the opportunity to use ANY other cable or internet service provider, DO IT. I've been locked in to Brighthouse at every address we have lived for the past 8 years in Florida, with no other available options. It's been horrible. We are buying a house next year and one of the things I am looking forward to the most is the ability to leave this company in the dust and switch to a different provider.
