It went fantastic. Everything went well.

This was one of those cases where it gets hot, you hit the A/C and all you get is hot air. The heat pump was 12 years old, the air handler 22. They were old and inefficient and it was time for a replacement. I spoke to 3 companies and Bay Standard was by far the most knowledgeable, the best price and the one contractor who was willing to take whatever time necessary to answer all my questions. They had us up and operating in no time! I was particularly impressed with their willingness to do all those little extra touches you hope you'll get when you hire somebody to do a big job at your home. We're delighted with the new unit and Bay Standard did a great job for us!

Dave arrived promptly and actually got to my home before I could get home from work. He assured me he would wait until I arrived, which he did. Dave spent an hour checking all aspects of our heating system, identified the problem, and fixed it. He has serviced our air conditioner several times over the last ten years and completed the job timely. He has a tremendous knowledge of air conditioning/heating systems, and explains what he is doing each step of the way. He is exceptionally professional and trustworthy.

Dave's quote was competitive with several other quotes we received though the parts he was quoting were much better quality than the other companies'. He is a perfectionist but you pay for perfection in time spent (a 2 week job took over a month...but he knew we weren't living in the house at the time which may have put us on the back burner). But if you have the time, he's well worth it. The city inspector asked my husband who did the work. He answered ''Dave Segur'' and the inspector said ''I can tell. This is really high quality work.'' The details were very well taken care of. He does mostly commercial work. He also gave my husband a ton of advice about how to maintain the condenser, etc. And he's a very nice, professional guy.
