ATS

This company was utilized as a third party to fix my television through a service plan that I purchased for my television when I bought it. My television is a 50" Plasma and started to make a loud humming that over powers the volume that I normally watch television at. So I called the company that my service plan is with and they sent out ATS to take a look at it. They came out a total of 3 times with out any success in fixing my tv. The first time the technician was out for about 5 mins and tightened up some screws on the back and stated that my tv know for the humming and the screws are loose and that causes the humming. Well this did not fix the problem. I called the company that holds my service plan again stating that they did not fix my television and would like them to come out again. The same service technician came out again and stated this time that the tv had a bad board and that was causing the humming and replaced the board, this still did not the problem. I called the company again to send out someone again because it is still making the same noise. They sent someone out the third time and stated to me that if you sit closer than 10' to the tv and hear the humming that that is normal and you should watch the tv at a volume of 15 or more. I was appalled that they tried to tell me that this was normal when I have had this tv for over 2 years and it had never made this noise and I used to watch my tv at volume 10 and never heard any noise. Now you cannot watch the tv at volume 10 because the humming over powers the volume of the tv. The technician stated that he needed to take the tv to thier shop for diagnosis to find the problem. I refused to let them take the tv since my service agreement is for in home service and this defeats purpose of in home service if they take the tv. Their is also a big risk of them damaging my television due to the size and weight. I then called the company that holds my service plan and requested another company to come out and for the 4th time and try to fix my tv. They sent out another company and they were able to fix my tv the first time and knew what the problem was immediately.

It went from Impressive and hopeful to very dissapointing and suspect.
