Progress Energy Watts Inspection recommended increasing insulation from 8R to 30R.They provided a list of 8 approved contractors in my area.I checked the list against Angie's list and talked to 3 providers.There were only 2 of the 3 that used Cellulose insulation.I wanted Cellulose as I had researched insulation and believe that it is a better product than Fibreglass.I had had some damage caused by vermin in the past and vermin are not attracted to Cellulose. Mr James De Rusha owns the company he was well priced and very punctual.He explained what he was going to do and took just over an hour to blow in the insulation.He was relatively neat (the proces is a bit dusty). I was very pleased with his work and am already feeling the benefit of better insulation.I paid him $270.The total cost was $370 with Progress Energy paying $100.I would recommend the Progress Energy Inspection to anyone.I would also recommend Delusha Insulation for the work they performed.

James did a great job, was on time, on budget. The $340 was after the $100 Progress Energy paid. The house is 1,300 sq.ft. for reference.

Went great. Owner does the work himself, and is a real personable guy, besides being very professional.

Just fine. Two guys came in, backed the truck on to our lawn (without impact), and did the work efficiently despite the early summer heat. There were no hassles, it didn't take much more than an hour, and they were pretty tidy in cleaning up. For such a small sum, we were left wondering why we waited so long to get this done. It will pay for itself in $$ savings on our electric bill within a year or two I bet.

They were referred by Progress Energy, which paid $100 toward the $390 total. Owner, James (and my own research) convinced me that cellulose insulation would be better than fiberglass. Few companies blow insulation other than fiberglass. James and another guy did the work. They had the best estimate. They were just a few minutes late, did a quick job, and cleaned up afterwards.
