Aquaproof roofing

They repaired my roofs wood soffits, which seem to be done in an acceptable manner, but I had to redo the caulk job because there were obvious gaps that needed it before painting them myself.  I haven't had any problems with those post repair, but where they supposedly fixed the leaks in my shingle roof, I am still getting leaks and water damage at the interior drywall ceiling.  Mary is the lady I dealt with at Aquaproof Roofing.  She was extremely quick to get paid, but when I called her back to let her know we were still getting leaks, she NEVER would return my phone call.  After probably 8 months of calling her and not getting a response, I called her from a friends phone and she answered!  She claimed to be having problems with her cell phone's voice mail as the reason why she never returned my calls.  After complaining during this conversation she finally came out to my house to repair the leaks and after lifting a few shingles, 2 minutes later she was gone, never to be seen or heard of again.  She will not return my phone calls.
I am at the point where I am getting estimates to replace my entire roof and the professional roofers that have come to give me estimates have all balked at the repair job Aquaproof Roofing did for me.  DO NOT USE THEM!

I have had the worst possible experience with Aqua Proof Roofing and its owners, Mary Rose and Bill Dunlop. They put a new roof on my house two years ago at the cost of $15,000. It leaks worse than the old one. There are three active leaks that have not been repaired after nearly a year and a half of complaints. With each rain, my house is being further damaged. In one spot, I have dry wall dangling from the ceiling. Water doesn?t just drip; it pours down my wall when it rains hard. Mold is a concern.

Mary and Bill have been evasive and defensive from the get-go. Phone calls and emails have gone unanswered for months. They clearly don?t care that their workmanship was shoddy or that my house is being damaged, and the warranty means nothing to them.

After months, Mary finally came out to my house and examined the biggest leak. She said the problem was a vent and that Bill, the designated repairman, would be out to fix it soon. Soon was several weeks. When he finally came out, he went up on the roof briefly, came back down and claimed I had a rodent problem, that something had eaten through the tile. Funny that Mary had not seen this. My exterminator refuted this ?theory,?? as did a state certified roofing inspector I hired. Yet that is the only answer Bill has come up with, even though the spot still leaked after his ?repair.??

Bill still has not examined two of the three active spots, and all the spots are leaking. I?m convinced he is either incompetent or too lazy to find the true source of the leaks. He has been rude and a bully, and acts as if there will be no repercussions.

 I have filed complaints with the state and county licensing boards and decided to post this review to warn others to avoid Aqua Proof Roofing at all costs.

They showed up the first day and got straight to work. Originally, my husband and I thought we could do the roof ourselves, but after seeing the finished product we are so very happy we decided to go with Aquaproof. The were prompt, curteous and they cleaned up after themselves so well that you wouldn't know they were even there. They worked all day and were able to complete the entire roof in 3 days. They even repaired some rotten wood overhanging in the back of the house. I would highly recommend Aquaproof roofing to friends and family. Thanks!

Overall, the experience was a good one or I would not have used them again. They came out, both times, at exactly when they said they would. They cleaned up any trash, including extra roofing nails, shingles, etc. They provided the exact service they said they would and we have not experienced any roofing issues. They are a "mom and pop" operation, very friendly, and will work to get the job done right. They provided some extra fixes that they felt were necessary to complete the jog, at no extra cost.
