First of all he showed up with a worn out concrete drill/chisel... the appropriate tool would be a core drill.... but that's okay, until the drill knocked out and started leaking oil all over
I have never installed a pool handrail, but watched how it is supposed to be done on youtube... not a huge deal, but as I didn't have a chisel or core drill, and being a bit lazy, I had it done... when it came time to concrete the mounting hardware in the holes I could see he was doing it wrong, or at least not how "they" say to do it on youtube, so I didn't say anything as he was supposed to be the pro
to make a long story short, the mounting hardware was installed backwards so the rail wouldn't tighten up, plus the rail was not level in any direction, and the drain holes were plugged with concrete.... we just had pavers put installed on the pool deck, so I had to chisel the bronze hardware out of the holes being careful not to damage them, enlarge the holes with my new chisel, a bit by hand, and reinstall the rail.... Hey, at least now I have a solid rail, level, with operational drain holes
I should have done it myself in the first place, would have been a whole lot easier, and I'd have an extra hundred bucks

Brian came out as scheduled. Continued to stay in touch though the rain prohibited completion for a few weeks. Killed plants, pressure washed deck. Made sure pool was always clean. Roller on two coats of sealant. Put all furniture back as it was before he began the job.
