APACHE TREE SERVICE

This was the second time we have used them. They did what they said they would do and seemed nice. No real complaints. My wife did have to negrotiate the price a lot. They originally came in much higher than another bid.

There was a verbal agreement that he would take some flowers out without a fee, but it turned out he charged $50. The following morning, he came first thing in the morning while we were still sleeping and asked for payment. We let him inside and starting writing the check. He was comfortable enough in our house while we wrote the check to walk to a bird cage 30 feet away left footprints on the carpet. We called him about this and he agreed to reimburse us. The cleaning would cost $25, but he has not sent us a check and he refuses to pick up the phone now. It also now turns out that he did not administer the correct vitamins to our trees, so we need someone else to come out and do this now.

They were recommended. Matt was nice at first and his estimate was higher by several hundred but I decided to trust him and hire him. They came to the house and cut the trees but did not trim them the way I wanted too. He argued that it shouldn't be cut the way I wanted. Their chipper broke down and another was brought to the job. He ended up leaving and when I wrote the check to the guy left in charge they waned me to give cash instead and when I refused to, they asked me to rewrite it to the guy in charge so he could cash it and pay the crew. I did rewrite but wrote Apache on there anyways. I called Matt several times to discuss the job and that I wasn't totally happy and that I wanted him to come back and correct it and he refused. They also cut my sprinkler line and didn't tell me. He also refused to repair that. I will never hire them, or recommend them to anyone. I told the person that recommended what happened and she was surprised. I ended up waiting a year and hired another service to redo the trees.

First time I used them they did a good job. They cut up and removed a tree that had fallen and removed another dead tree, cleaned up and removed all debris. The second time I used them they left all the debris from a very large tree they removed sitting on my front lawn. As I had used them before, I paid them in full, believing they would finish the job - that was a mistake. I left several messages and spoke to both the owner and the lead guy on the job, and both promised they would take care of it. After two weeks of all the debris sitting on my lawn and my homeowners association calling, I paid someone else to remove it. I called and left a message letting them know how disappointed I was, and I have not heard back from anyone. I would not use this company again, and I would not recommend them.

The project went very well.
