I had a swarm of honey bees locate themselves in the roof eave. I called this company because they advertised that they are able to have them humanely relocated. But when the technician came out he just sprayed them and killed them, stating that it was okay to do. He then highly recommended that I have them come out each month during the Bee season to spray the yard. I gave him a check for $464. ($269, for the treatment and $195. for the next 3 months). When I checked my bank statement I noticed that they had changed my check to a revolving deduction of $65. a month. I then called their customer service to inform them that I was cancelling the contract and they replied that if I didn't pay the yearly contract I would be sent to collections. Please beware of this company which contracts individuals locally to do their work. The technician I had tricked me into signing a contract for I year to spray my zero lot line (without any flowers) @ $65. a month for 1 year. Please read the negative reviews for this company and the BBB ratings before you believe what their website promises you!

They caught nothing. They put out one marshmallow and didn't check it for 3 days. They kept coming by and putting a note on my door but the same marshmallow was in the trap and the trap was in the same place. I called them to complain and I got the run around. And they said their service was only good for a 2 week period so they came and picked up the trap.

I should have checked Angie's List first. I called yesterday to have them come out about raccoons in the attic. The first question they asked me was who my homeowner's insurance was with. I asked why and they said that my homeowner's insurance would cover any repairs and they'd cover my deductible in most cases. I should have hung up right then. I told them I didn't know who my insurance company was and said let's assume I'm paying out of pocket. They scheduled an appointment for today between 12-1pm. It is now 3pm and they're a no-show. I called at 1pm to get an estimated arrival time. No answer. No return call. Got curious and looked them up on Angie's List. I'm glad they didn't show up. Should have trusted my gut as soon as they asked about homeowner's insurance to trap a raccoon.

I was told the trapping would be $389 and basically needed to do about $4,000 worth of work to keep them out. That aside, they promised for two weeks they would trap and come out every 1-2 days. for the first week, I had to be the one contacting and reminding them to come empty the traps. They never called to check what was going on with the traps, I had to continuously be the one hounding them.

The attic remediation went well.  The person I worked with (Chris) has since left though.   The e-z bait trap situation was quite another story... this is why they receive mostly F ratings from me.
For a while everything was good, but around month 6 or 7 (into the 1 year contract), they stopped using the bait traps and instead started using pepper spray around the property.  That spray only lasts a few days, if that - it is a total waste.  Then about month 10 or so, I stopped getting monthly visits. I had to call and was told they had a new employee.  This happened two months in row.  Why it's my job to be calling them to have them come to my property is beyond me - and I told them that it's not my job - it's theirs!
When you call there, you always get the answering service and then someone calls you back.  It's not a professionally run organization.  I never even received service in the last month - so I told them they were fired and for that month I wanted a refund.  It took around 4-5 calls and 4-5 emails before I was told a refund "would be processed".  By then I had already disputed the charge with my credit card company.  Several weeks later I received an email asking why I disputed the charge.  I told them they were extremely unprofessional, unorganized, why I fired them and that yes they were never receiving payment from me when no service was performed.  Fortunately I have not heard from them again.
I hired another company, who is actually cheaper (All star charged $60 a month).

"Allstar was hired in August 2014 to remove armadillos. Our technicians visited the home every couple of days through September, successfully trapping and removing/relocating armadillos on 8/26/2014, 9/10/2014, and 9/22/2014. Since then Allstar technicians provide monthly inspections and deterrent applications. Allstar is also available for free trapping as needed under this service. Allstar has noted that no new activity has come up and has not received a request for additional trapping. Our most recent visit was on May 26, 2015 where the inspection resulted in no current activity. The client remains on our monthly route and will receive another visit toward the end of June. If additional trapping is needed, we have a 24/7 emergency line the the client can call to request trapping. This would be included in the service."

The company sent a worker who examined the vents and attic for bats. He found the bats only in the gable vents as well as extensive bat excrement. He tapped black garbage bags with a hole at both ends to allow the bats to leave and not be able to re-enter the vents. The garbage bag on the rear of house came off multiple times. We called each time for them to reinstall which they did only to fall off again. After a week the same worker put metal mesh over the vents to prevent bats from entering in the future. However, the worker did not clean up after himself and left metal wire in the grass under and on the driveway as well as in the front yard. In addition, the bill had a charge of $250 for bat exclusion. When we looked up at the rear gable vent it had between 6-8 dead bats in the mesh, so they were not removed from the house. This company was very sloppy and did not deliver fully on the contract. We did write a letter requesting a return of a portion of the payment but received no response. I would never recommend this company.

"We do apologize that your experience with your technician were not up to standard. We did indeed set valves to allow bats to leave the property and force them into relocation. With the legal limitations on methods to exclude bats from a home, it sometimes can take multiple visits and multiple attempts to successfully close a job down. However, we do provide a warranty on the work that is completed, so that if more visits would be necessary, there would be no additional charge."

We were told we had squirrels in our attic (which at one time we did before we got our new roof). But when no squirrels were being caught...we actually had mice(which we actually saw in our upstairs office). You can not call the company directly- you must call the answering service and wait- and wait for someone to call you back. The person that comes out can't make the appts- so you have to call the answering service and wait- and wait to make another appointment. It is possible for you to get a different person every time they come out. Sometimes they had different suggestions as what was going on- very confusing. On two or three different occasions no one every showed up for the appointment- which in this case I had to call the answering service and you guessed it- wait for someone to call me back! Seems to have very poor management- or maybe no management? I would never use this service again. At this point I still have mice. They can't seem to find out how they are getting in.

They signed me up for a monthly plan, that I never agreed to. They sent a guy out while I was away from home and he billed me $65 for pest control, although I did not agree to this. I called them 6 times to discontinue this service and left messages and they have not returned my calls. I am being billed for services I did not sign up for.

The experience was horrible. The company kept not showing up and I would have to call. Maybe eight times I would have to call them out because they wouldn't show. I had one guy come out and he didn't do his job and didn't spray everywhere. I was very disappointed with this service.

we had a very difficult time getting them to return our calls. Months later, they will not get the trap.

"Allstar would like to thank you for the kind words, and we will most certainly relay this information to the technician that helped you. Luckily we have a wonderful network of field technicians and office staff that make themselves available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Hopefully you never need animal removal service again, but we would always be glad to help."

They claim they caught one mole the first month of service (we didn't see it).  However, despite monthly visits and applications of repellent/poisons, etc., we still have many moles.  We bought our own traps and have caught six ourselves.
The technician was very kind, professional, and motivated and came within a day or two of our original phone call to conduct the "free consultation."  However, the company has him spread too thin, and he cannot keep up with all the customers.  Because ours isn't an urgent matter, we haven't gotten service for the past few months unless we call to remind them of their obligation.  The company just has not lived up to their guarantee that they can solve our animal removal problem because the moles keep coming.  The repellents and poisons have not done much to deter them.  I suspect that because we live adjacent to a forested area that we'll always have a mole issue.  However, the company shouldn't guarantee that they can rid your yard of moles unless they actually know that they can.
I believe this company may be OK to use if you have a one-time animal removal requirement (i.e. a raccoon in your attic) but I would not recommend them for any longer contract.  We still have one month left on our contract, and I will be surprised if anyone turns up without our having to call numerous times.
Be prepared for long waits (days) until someone from management returns your call.  Read their poor ratings by the Better Business Bureau in Florida before deciding to call AllStar.
Again, I want to  emphasize that the technician was very courteous and motivated.  However, he has too large of a territory and is unable to provide the necessary follow-on work in a timely manner.
On the plus side, I've become as good as - or better than - AllStar at catching and controlling moles!

Awful.  One individual came out to set a trap and said they'd be back in a couple of days.  They never showed back up.  My wife's calls to the office went unreturned.  I eventually got a voicemail from Connor, whom I presume to be the manager.  He acknowledged that something had gone wrong but I've since called him several times and have received no return call.  I called the national number and, while polite, the individual on the phone was not empowered to do anything other than send a message to our local animal specialist.  I told him I was having trouble and needed to speak to someone in management and he was not able to direct my message to anyone in particular.  I never received a phone call back.

The $389 seemed very high in the first place but we figured it was worth it if the company would be coming out on a regular basis, resetting traps and really trying to catch the moles.  That didn't happen so, in my mind, the $389 was a total waste of money.  We are disputing the charge through American Express.

We also had to sign a contract that provided six months worth of spraying to kills grubs, which is apparently what the moles are after.  To be fair, we do believe that our yard has been sprayed twice.  We plane on continuing to pay for this service ($60/month) through the end of the contract, assuming we don't see any lapses consistent with what I described above.

I don't write these types of reviews lightly as I like to give organizations a chance to respond and make a situation right.  Unfortunately, these guys have failed in that respect and Angie's list members deserve to know the truth.

Terrible!! The rats were gone for maybe a couple months, then they were back. So, i called to have them come out to remove again and talked with someone who said she would have someone call me back to set appt. No one called, so called a week later and left message. No one called me back again. IT has gone on like this for 2 months!! If i ever get anyone on the phone they say they will call me back and no one ever does! I have left over a dozen messages and no one has called me back. I have called the BBB on them already. Do not use this company!!

"For this job we charged $289 for animal trapping (a discounted price) and $389 for exclusion of entry points for a total of $678. Unfortunately, when a home has a wildlife intrusion, whether it rats or otherwise, they are more at risk for a return problem. The reason for this is because animals will leave pheromones and other scents that will attract outsiders. Rodent colonies in particular are driven mostly by scents. When a nearby colony increases in size to a point where they need to split and find a new location to live, your home will be most appealing to them since it already has these scents, pheromones, trails in the attic, tunnels in insulation, etc. So we are not at all surprised when a former rat trapping client calls back with the same issue some months later. For this we and all other pest/animal removal companies offer a preventative monthly service to guarantee that there will be no future activity. Under this monthly service we offer baits, deterrents, traps, and any other means to assure that new animals do not return. In this instance, that service was declined. If that service is declined, there is no coverage for the new problem that developed some months later. We set up a two week trapping session (which, as was stated in the complaint, was extended FREE of charge), closed entry points, and closed the file. The new infestation could have been handled for a similar price, but that was also declined. Allstar is more than happy to provide the client with additional service as long as it is adequately compensated for completed work."

Almost a week ago, one of our neighbors and his 2 large dogs had an encounter with a large coyote that was not intimidated. It showed aggressive behavior. There have also been a lot of cats missing, dead bird carcasses, etc indicating the coyote was still around and potentially stuck on our island. This morning, my dog stuck her nose in a drainage grate and started sniffing around. My husband looked in the grate and saw a large coyote head. The drainage grate goes out to the bay. The opening is large enough for the animal to get in but he couldn't get out. The neighborhood agreed we needed to hire a trapper. I saw Allstar on angieslist. Within probably 30 min of call, Chris showed up. I showed him where the coyote was and he worked at getting it until he was able to get a good shot. Legally, the only way to dispose of a coyote is by putting it down. Its unfortunate but based on the aggression we were seeing, we were very concerned for our children and pets. Not to mention, if he couldn't get out, he would have eventually drowned. Chris was a total professional and took 1 clean shot. Disposed of the animal of quickly.

I would definitely call Allstar again if I needed any type of animal removal.

"Thank you so much for the kind words and positive review. It is always unfortunate when an animal must be put down. From a biological standpoint though, coyotes are considered a nuisance and invasive species. With no natural predators, we expect them to continue to increase in numbers an become more and more of a problem year after year. We are glad that the technician was able to get out there quickly and save the day. While all our jobs are important, emergency calls such as this are handled as a priority."

My front yard was infested with moles.  My pest control company referred me to this company as moles are animals; not insects.  Someone arrived the same day and said it would cost $389 for 2 week treatment.  Once I said I could not afford that he quickly came down to $289; plus mandatory $60 month follow up for one year. The tech explained this is because moles do come back.   The technician came out 2 - 3 times week for first 2 weeks.  I was not happy with the mandatory year service, however was happy to have it as the moles came back.  One phone call and the tech came back promptly and applied more mole bait.  They do not use traps as they are considered inhumane.  I am pleased  the follow up call was answered so promptly and understand why it is part of the contract.

We had three Muscovy ducks in the neighborhood that became a nuisance so I called Allstar because they advertised specifically that they remove Muscovy ducks. On October 9th, the trapper arrived as promised and I showed him where the ducks liked to hang out. He said that he could net them, which was my preference, but if he couldn't trap them he would use a pellet gun. They required payment up front, which I was a little leery of, but since they got good ratings on Angies List I throught I could trust them. I should have taken a hint when the trapper said that he let someone borrow his net so would just be checking things out that day. It took about two weeks to get the first duck. After that, the trapper asked to borrow my canoe but he still couldn't get the other two ducks. After a month, I sent 4 or 5 texts to the trapper with pictures of the remaining ducks lounging in my yard or swimming in the pond next to my house to which I would get a "thanks" or "text me if you see them before 5 pm". Unfortunately the ducks didn't always operate during business hours. After that, the trapper stopped responding to my texts and I never saw him again. Several more weeks went by so I called the office at least twice and left messages but never got a call back. I finally got fed up and in the last message asked for my money back. At that point the trapper called me and said that he had been trying to get the ducks for weeks as though he was put out by the amount of time he had to spend. He also said that they might not be the same ducks. I told him that I paid "per duck" for three ducks not per hour and it did not matter to me how much time it took or if they were the same ducks. Then he confessed that all the pellet guns were broken and he had to buy a new one and also that someone had once again borrowed his net. He eventually did get the remaining two ducks that day, November 23rd, which is why I gave them a C rating instead of a lower one. I really believe that if I hadn'tt made a stink they would have just kept my money and forgot about me.

Shortly after I called the phone number, I was able to schedule a time to meet with a service technician.  He was curtious and on time for the first meeting.  After I described my problem with the raccoons, he quicly went to work going through my attic looking for them.  After his initial review of my attic, he proceeded to give me a sales pitch on how I needed to spend over $6,000 with him to have all of my insulation pulled out, and new insulation installed.  Well, he found out the home was just purchased, and the homeowners insurance wouldn't cover the work because it was a preexisting condition.  After he heard that, his demeanor changed on the spot.  He quickly set a single trap, and left.  I had contracted with him to come by every other day to check the trap until the racoons were caught, and plug the holes leading to the attic.  Well, he didn't do any of it. He just took my money and never came back.
After several emails and phone calls, I finally got someone to come out in August to remove a skunk that was caught in the trap.  This was a different technician that said he is not making any money coming out to remove the skumk, and his manager would come by and patch the holes.  He told me the technicians only get paid from the houses they sell contracts to.  Well, needless to say, the manager never came out.  The good news is the baby racoons grew up and left, and I patched the holes myself.
My only advice is to stay away from this company.  If they can't make a $6,000 contract with you, then you will not see them again.  I recently checked with the BBB, and they recently graded them with an "F".  I agree with their rating.
