Thank you for taking care of all our issues. With one bathroom it is not easy. Unresponsive landlord. Working on it from outside and even the ceiling was interesting. Also moving the pipes toilet and dealing with shower. Everything has been working.

Very professional and very quick. It was in a hard to reach place so it made it a little more difficult. Price was what I thought it would be and I was happy with the work they performed.

The plumber arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently and left the area very clean on both occasions.

Originally the leak happened on a Saturday, so they came out at night and clamped it for $204.00 for 30 minutes of work. Fine, not the best price, but it was an emergency. Then they came out during the week and spent about 4-4.5 hours for a cost of 1077.19. I was charged for two workers (472.50 plus 420.00), not sure if this is a standard practice, but the labor was 892.50. After they left I noticed the water pressure in my sink was almost absent so I called them. The plumber said he forgot to check the pressure before he left and they'd be out next day to look at it. This morning I noticed the shower had bad pressure as well, I spoke to the office and relayed the additional problem. So, a plumber came out and fixed the sink and shower. It took about an hour and 15 minutes. There was crude and rust stuck in the lines which was cleaned out and problem solved. I was now charged 131.25 for labor. I am unhappy because this all should have been resolved on the initial day of work and it wasn't, so I had to go about 24 without being able to do dishes, or do anything really because I was scared to break something further.

I was for the most part satisfied with the installation. The plumber removed the old unit with PVC plumbing and installed the new unit with copper tubing. However, he needed to cut into the wall behind the unit to replace the tubing, and left an unsightly hole with the electrical wiring dangling out of the hole.
I also believe the unit is over priced. I priced out a similar sized unit with a 12 year warranty for the same price. I was not
comfortable with that salesman, however.
They office staff was also not honest or did not know about pulling a permit with the county for the installation, which
cost me $10 extra, and which they tried to hide by using whiteout on the homeowners copy of the permit.

Starting from the beginning, the plumber shows up and sees the leak and begins the work. After 10-15 minutes he started to chisel and chip away at the wall for 3 hours. He chipped away a big hole and finally stopped after realizing he wasn't making any useful progress at repairing the leak. He wasn't getting through the concrete so a foot or so from the original hole he started chipping away at a softer part in the wall to get through the concrete. At that point he spent time installing a new pipe and fixing the leak. The new pipe was installed completely wrong and he didn't put in new concrete to seal and reinforce the copper pipe. So, the copper pipe was just hanging loosely without any support or foundation. Now there is a huge gaping hole in the wall that he just left as it was. The plumber was chipping away so hard at the wall that he cracked the side of the house. On top of this, he was charging us $150 per hour for his services. After the plumber left I called the owner to see about getting money back for the work. They said absolutely not, we are never giving the money back because we did the work. I tried making the point that the work was done wrong. Finally, finally, I got them to come back out to redo and repair the work which was completed today 9/20/12. I didn't want them out here again because I didn't think they would do the repairs correctly but they refused to return any money so that didn't really leave me any other choices. It was a battle to just get them back here to fix the damage.

They are very professional and come on time. They always call me before they come and when they come they always put a paper or something down on the floor and don?t leave a mess. They always finish the work on time and their pricing is quite reasonable.

The plumber suggested that I get a part from home depot on the first day he was out. I did buy it and he came back out and took care of it. The problem arose when I asked him to replace the chain to the flapper, which had broken. He went to the tank and started taking apart the cylinder when I stopped him and said all I need is a new chain. He claimed that the cylinder was leaking, and so he went outside for parts. He repaired the cylinder and I assumed that he had replaced the chain. He left and a few days later I checked in the toilet tank and found parts floating around and the chain had not been replaced (still repaired with my paper clip). The owner claims that it wouldn't hurt the toilet, but I beg to differ. I have been in contact with them consistently and they will not come out to fix the error. The owner is unwilling to even speak about the parts floating in the tank, talking about how I refused work. I am pleased with the other work, but I feel that they sabotaged my toilet.

"When our technician, Steve, went out the member's residence he made recommendations to resolve plumbing issues. She expressed to Steve she couldn't afford much & asked if there was a way to resolve the issue inexpensively. He recommended inexpensive parts from Home Depot. Steve recommended replacement of the water closet parts & she didn't allow him to do so as stated by Steve on invoice #58427 & signed by her. She then called my office a month after services were rendered and asked for free service on her water closet. We offered to wave the service call & fuel charge saving her $46. She told me she would badmouth our company & even cursed out several people on the phone telling us we will repair her water closet for free or else. We at Allen's Plumbing are dedicated to giving excellent service but cannot warranty what we aren't allowed to fix in the first place. Jamin Gadoury, Supervisor"

the invoice. A few days later, I received an invoice for $950.50 in the mail. Allen's Plumbing had obviously padded the untotaled invoice. I paid the sum of $231.00 and $351.50 plus an $8 fuel charge of $590.50. I refused to pay the remainder, particularly when they had only imaged a portion of the sewer pipe. Additionally, I found out from another plumbing company that I hired soon after, that Allen's plumbers had completely mislocated the sewer pipe. They said it went along the house when it clearly went underneath the house. So, I claim that Allen's Plumbing is not only incompetent but dishonest. Interestingly, Allen's Plumbing never contested my accusations, but immediately slapped a lien on my property. This is a rogue company out of control, completely unprofessional. I cannot prove that I signed an untotaled invoice (my very naive mistake), so the State Attorney General's office could not pursue my complaint. I still refuse to pay the remaining $360.

"HE REQUESTED US TO CAMERA HIS LINE HE WAS NOT MISLED ABOUT ANY OF OUR CHARGES. WE SENT OUT 2 TECHNICIANS NOT FIVE AS HE STATES IN A LETTER. OUR INVOICE CLEARLY SHOWS THIS. HIS SEWER LINE WAS DIFFICULT TO CAMERA AND WE ULTIMATELY FOUND THE LINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AT THIS TIME HE TOLD US HE HAS HAD MANY PROBLEMS IN THE PAST WITH THE LINE. THE INVOICE HE SIGNED WAS TOTALED. HE REQUESTED ALL THE SERVICES WE PROVIDED AND WAS EXPLAINED ALL THE CHARGES. ALLEN'S PLUMBING HAS BEEN CLEARED OF ANY AND ALL CHARGES PLACED ON US BY THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AND CONSUMER SERVICES AND THE PCCLB AT THE HANDS OF THIS MEMBER. IN FACT, WE HAVE NOT BEEN PAID IN FULL FOR OUR SERVICES WE PROVIDED AND AT PRESENT HAVE A MECHANICS LIEN ON THE PROPERTY. IF ANYBODY HAS BEEN DAMAGED IN DOING BUSINESS, IT HAS BEEN ALLEN'S PLUMBING NOT BEING PAID FOR SERVICES REQUESTED AND THOSE SAME SERVICES RENDERED. JAMIN GADOURY-SUPERVISOR"

First plumber took faucets apart, and reported they were 'stripped inside.' We were told we would need to replace the valves for a total cost of $500 to $600. Before he left, he installed two ball valves and cut the pipes to the faucets. The following Saturday, I took the valves to Palmers. They gave me the parts that they replaced after they properly repacked the faucet, total cost = $22. I tried to hook the water back up myself and after a few tries called Allen's. I asked them to come back to hook the water back up. They sent over a competent plumber who hooked the water back up. Both he, and subsequently his supervisor, were very courteous, indicating that everything would be taken care of on warranty. However, I think that the whole job could have been done for about $120.

"OUR FIRST PLUMBING TECH DID MAKE AN ERROR IN HIS WORK. WE DO OCCASIONALLY MAKE MISTAKES BUT AS INDICATED BY THE MEMBER. WE WILL ALWAYS RETURN AND COURTEOUSLY TAKE CARE OF OUR MISTAKE ON WARRANTY. AS FAR AS THE JOB BEING PERFORMED FOR $120.00 THAT ISN'T A REALITY OF HAVING A TRAINED TECH COMING TO YOUR HOME WITH A FULLY EQUIPPED SERVICE VEHICLE BY A LICENSED, INSURED, AND LEGITIMATE COMPANY. WE DID THOUGH TAKE CARE OF THE ISSUE COSTING US 3 HRS. OF LABOR FOR A TECH AT NO CHARGE AND WE DO THIS HAPPILY TO MAKE SURE THE CUSTOMER IS TAKEN CARE OF PROPERLY."

"WE LOOKED AT THE PROBLEM & YES WE CARRY THE APPROPRIATE PARTS ON OUR SERVICE VEHICLES. I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE STATEMENT "THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO". WE WERE CALLED OUT TO TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM & WE DID SO. YES WE DO CHARGE FOR OUR SERVICES & YES WE DO MARK UP OUR PARTS. WE CANNOT BEGIN TO COMPETE WITH HOME DEPOT & LOWE'S PRICES BUT ADVERSELY THOSE STORES DON'T DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM & CARRY ALL THE NEEDED MATERIALS & LABOR TO YOUR HOME.
