All Florida Septic

    Our septic system backed up on a Sunday afternoon.  I called a number of companies I found on Angie's List, but none could get out until Monday morning, which wasn't really an option.  One of the companies I called recommended All Florida Septic since they were close by and had emergency service on weekends.
    Arrangements were made and the service tech showed up as scheduled.  He was personable and described everything he was doing.  Come to find out, our septic tank had never been pumped in the 13 years since the house had been built.  It's supposed to be pumped every 3 years.
    The cost breakdown is as follows:        Pumping tank -                     $325.00        Main line jetting for clog -    $125.00
    Here is where I have my issues.  I was charged $120.00 for a septic bacteria kit that I was told I "needed" since Rid-X "didn't work."  After what I had just been through, I foolishly believed what the technician told me.  He preyed on my fear and lack of knowledge.  The next day, I looked up the exact same bacteria kit that I was charged $120 for and found it for $39.99 online!  I called All Florida Septic regarding this, but no one ever called me back.  That's the reason for the low marks for pricing.  TOTAL RIPOFF!!!    All Florida Septic also receives low marks for professionalism.  The technician cleaned out his equipment in my driveway.  I had human waste and discarded food waste where my young children could easily get to it.  My feeling is that I shouldn't have to clean up after someone I just wrote out a $570.00 check to.
