They had to diagnose it. We used them at our previous residence then we used them at our rental house. They are the best around here.

The price was outrageous.

They had to order the parts, so it took four or five days to finish the work. Just one person came out to finish the work. They left the area clean. They were professional. I think they can work on communication in the future.

Taylor Refrigeration installed the air conditioning system in our new home over 10 years ago. We have used them to service the unit over the years. Our unit was not cooling. Jason immediately came to the home, assessed the situation and recommended the unit be replaced due to old type refrigerant, and lack of efficiency. He was non-pressure, gave us options on repair or replace, gave us option of Carrier or Ruud. We decided on replacement, and it was efficiently and quickly ordered and installed in less than two weeks from placing the order. We would highly recommend this honest and reliable company.

The company was installing the new heat pump system for my inlaws while we were visiting them.  We called and spoke to Luke several times to inquire about the work being done.  He was very helpful and answered all of our questions.
Jesse and Dallas showed up Thursday morning on time and began work right away as this was a full days job; they were very courteous and made sure everything was cleaned up before departing.  So far everything is working great.  We were told that within the next two weeks someone would call and come by to make sure everything was functioning properly.  To date we have been very happy with Taylor Refrigeration and based on this experience would recommend them.  My in-laws also use them for general servicing and have been very happy. Rated them a B on price as they were a little more expensive but you pay for what you get and they delivered excellent service.

All is fine, my old outside air unit was probably about 15 years old. They remove the old unit, inserted concrete pad under new air unit, and replace the air handler unit in the garage (which was 23 years old).

The new one is saving me money on my electric bill (about $25 a month) and was installed with a programmable thermostat so I can program for when no one is home during the day.

The air unit we chose came with a rebate and the office personnel took care of filling that out for us and turning it in to the power company.

The team arrived on time, and started work immediately.  The installation took a few hours but they kept me informed along the way and by 3 pm my townhouse was starting to cool down.  I ordered the coastal unit due to my proximity to the beach and so far I think its going to be a great unit.  Super quiet Carrier, SEAR 13.
I would highly recommend Taylor to residents of the St Augustine area.  I got a cheaper quote from Jax businesses but want to deal locally if possible. Taylor has the track record and longevity in this area.

(1) I rang their office requesting a service call, and they sent someone out that same day
(2) The provider rang me on the phone when he was 15 minutes away, just to give me a heads-up.
(3) He arrived exactly on time, diagnosed the problem, and actually had the correct replacement part in his truck
(4) Took off the old panel, installed new one, ran it through its paces to make sure it worked
(5) I asked him a few questions about the best way to achieve better humidity control, and he took the time to walk me through the fairly complicated settings on the electronic control panel - he was very patient
(6) I was not charged for parts because the system (originally supplied and installed by Taylor) was still under warranty
(7) Wade waived the labor charges this time because this was the second panel in 12 months that had conked out [it's no fault of Taylor Refrigeration, it's just an incredibly hostile environment for delicate electronic equipment]
Added:  I will add that Taylor Refrigeration installed and maintains all three of our HVAC systems, and we have a history going back many years.  Everyone from their office staff to the repairmen are knowledgeable, polite and considerate.  They are the most punctual company I have ever dealt with (If they tell you they'll be there at 8:30am, you will see them turn into your driveway at 8:28-8:29, and they will ring your bell at exactly 8:30).  For emergencies, they will come out promptly even on a weekend.  They are also very concerned to make sure you're happy with their work before they leave.
I appreciate the fact that they're a local family firm which has been in business since 1951, started by Taylors and still run by Taylors.  They take care to maintain the high regard in which many people hold the Taylor name.

Our unit was almost 12 years old and 2 years in a row, the same thing was breaking. Additionally, some rooms in the house were hotter then others and the a/c was incapable of keeping the house at an even temp. Based on this we decided it was time for a new unit. We contacted several companies and after many follow up consultations with each, we chose Taylor. We are very satisfied with their excellent service and professionalism.
