I called Nelligan based on a recommendation from a neighbor. They helped provide me with documentation to submit to insurance to file a claim for hail damage and replace the roof. After receiving approval from Insurance, I used Nelligan. That is when everything went downhill. We went through the process of matching the shingle to the adjacent home that is part of the duplex. I provided a shingle from the neighbor's roof completed only 1 year prior that was also provided during the Hail Inspection. They had pictures of the neighbor's roof during the Hail Damage inspection. I even questioned the original quote from the neighbor that called out a shingle color much different than what was installed. They assured me that the selection we made was correct. Well, it was the wrong shade. I had to redo the whole roof. Nelligan did not double-check the shingle color and didn't provide a sample. They took 3 days to finish, while homes have been completed in 1 day. The yard was left in a mess at the end of each day. They didn't measure for the correct flashing needed for the skylights. Instead, they half-a** painted them. When the wrong color was being installed, I tried to work with them on a solution. Instead of helping, they argued about who was at fault. When the roof was completed, I was threatened with Liens if I didn't pay. I was slandered by the owner when trying to find a resolution other than paying the full amount for a s*** job. I do not recommend Nelligan at all for your roofing project. Complete lack of professionalism and assurance of completing the project as required.

"His review is full of inaccuracies. Regarding the shingle color, he was concerned with matching The neighbor next door on his duplex and I told him that the best way to match the shingle color is to find out from the neighbor what shingle manufacturer and what color they used. He did this even going so far as to email us a copy of her contract which stated "Owens Corning Estate Gray". He confirmed in writing that that is the color he wanted us to put on his roof. It turns out he doesn't get along very well with his neighbor and she gave him the wrong shingle color. She used "Quarry Gray" which is a shade lighter than "Estate Gray". We installed the color that he selected and confirmed in writing and when it was not an exact match he blamed us and started demanding that we tear all the shingles off and put a different color back on that matches hers exact. I informed him that we do not select the shingle color for the customer and we only install the color that has been confirmed in writing which we did. His "reasonable solution" was for us to be financially responsible to tear all of the shingles off and replace them with the other color. When I refused he became extremely upset and therefore we have this review. It is not a s*** job. It is a very well installed roof. We installed the color he told us to. We can't help that his neighbor gave him the wrong information about the color of the shingle. The comment about the skylights being mis measured as also not true. His insurance company included new flashing around the skylights. But the insurance adjuster did not realize that these were custom curb skylights and that in order to change the flashing you would have to demolish the curb which would affect the interior finishes of the house. There was nothing wrong with the flashing on the custom curbs so I told him it would be better to leave the curbs and install the new skylights on the esixting curbs. He agreed. I issued him a credit for the amount that the insurance company had paid for the flashing."

Nothing but issues!! More concerned with reviews than actually ensuring quality work or honoring workmanship warranty without having to file formal complaints. I even got another roofer to complete a visual only inspection, and provided those for Neligan to address. Instead, he voided my workmanship warranty because another roofer came out. Was quick to send their lawyer and quick to discredit versus providing paid for service. Good luck!

John at Neligan Construction and Roofing did an amazing roof repair on our home. It was a very small job and they were more than happy to help us. John did a great job and took the time to find the right siding that only one company had. He did some research and found them. We are so happy with the work and care John took. Neligan's crew came to my home just before hurricane Ian passed by northeastern Florida. They told me that they would remove my old roof and totally replace it BEFORE the hurricane could do any damage. They started working on Monday morning and by that evening the roof was completely replaced. They removed the old roof, fixed the damaged decking, re-nailed the entire roof decking to meet Florida's new standards, applied water and ice underlayment, then nailed down the new shingles on the entire roof. This allowed my roof to meet the wind mitigation rules to be eligible for an insurance discount. To make the deadline the crew worked like a well oiled machine with professionalism. They even completely cleaned up the debris and swept for nails around my home. The price for this service was in line with other bids I received from other roofing companies. I HIGHLY recommend Neligans for any work needed on your home.

Our neighborhood had been hit by a hailstorm a few years ago and most roofs were damaged and needed to be replaced. It was a boon for the roofers as these were insurance claims. Many roofers padded their estimates and passed along some of the extra money to offer freebies to the home owners. Neligan was recommended to us by another homeowner in the neighborhood who had used them and was very happy with the work. We had already received estimates from other roofers, who had the intention of offering incentives to us. Neligan did not do that. They gave us an honest quote for the roof repair. They did a great job, kept us abreast of what was to happen, and were professional throughout. They did not put a lien on our property like other roofers do, which we appreciated. We were very happy with the work they did, and had them later replace the roof of one of our rental properties. That went well also. There were some issues with the skylights leaking after that job but they came and fixed it promptly and there have been no issues since. They also fixed the roof of another rental we had, solving a problem that had existed for years. Finally, when the parish hall of our church needed a roof replacement, we recommended them to our pastor, and they did the work on that roof. There have been no issues with that work either. When it comes time to replace the roof of our other rental property, we will use them again. They are honest (which is hard with roofers), professional, and they back their work.

The team from Neligan was awesome from start to finish. Ed Jens and his crew repaired my eaves and installed new vinyl soffits and fascia. I was impressed with their work and equally impressed that they delivered exactly what they promised at the price quoted. Once finished, Jason and Desiree installed my new seamless gutters. It was a good experience. Ed Jens was very helpful throughout the process. I had a lot of rot that had to be repaired on my home. Ed and his crew leader Mitch fixed up my house and resided it. It looks great now. Ed was upfront about the cost. There were no surprises there. He was affordable and fair. His work is excellent. He documented everything he fixed with pictures. Mitch was the crew leader on the project. He was there everyday. He was so easy to work with. Very nice. He is excellent and very skilled. He did a great job. The crew was great. They cleaned up everyday. I mean... sweeping, leaf blowing, every day before they left. The crew was very kind when my kids ran in and out of the house all day long and the 6 month old dog snuck out behind them. Someone from the crew usually caught my dog for me. All my old siding was taken off the house. My home was resided in Hardie Plank and repainted. The chimney had to be rebuilt it was so rotted. I knew this going into the project. The nice thing about working with Neligan is they do roofing too, because I needed a new chimney cap and didn’t have to hire a separate contractor. If you hire Neligan, I hope you get Ed’s crew. They are the best.

After getting in touch with the GC, the gutter installation team quickly arrived at my residence early the following week. They arrived in the morning promptly and immediately began working throughout the entire day. I want to specifically mention Jason and Desaray for their outstanding work. They had provided me with some very good advice that hadn't even been considered with regards to my existing gutter setup. They made a few small tweaks to the initial proposal in helping to keep water away from my house as I have had water intrusion issues recently. They also installed a new gutter along side the entire side of my home, cleaned out the existing gutters, installed new diverters, and installed newly purchased micromesh filters that I had bought. Throughout their stay, Jason and Desaray made it a point to make sure that I was completely satisfied and explained, in detail, everything that they planned to do and pointed out any additional issues that they happened to see. They were very professional and courteous and they made it a point to focus on getting the job done right. The GC Bill was also great as well. Although he came out just to provide a gutter estimate, he also took interest in my water intrusion issue and investigated the problem once he was on site. It was clear that this company is interested in fixing your issues and not trying to take your money like some other companies in the area. Bill actually recommended a different company because he believed the source of water intrusion was with my windows. If you are looking for an honest company that charges a fair price for gutter installations, I would highly recommend Neligan Contruction.

Brian Neligan. I just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you personally for the excellent job that your guys did in re-roofing our home. The entire experience was positive and everyone was extremely professional throughout. A special thanks to Steve our salesman for letting us know what to expect throughout every phase of the project. Juan Berracoles (site manager) and his team, did an excellent job and they were always respectful of our home and property. They paid particular attention to a trouble spot on our roof that gave us problems in the past with excellent results. My wife and I celebrated the completion of the project with pizza and beer for the crew and we had the chance to get to talk with them for a bit. They were a really nice group and we were thankful to have them working on our home.
