Marvin's Electrical services

We called Marvin since we had used him a couple of years ago.  He was able to come out the following day and fixed our problem in a very timely and professional manner at a reasonable cost.

He determined that my alarm system shorting out was not caused by roof leak, saving me another expense. I have already reccommended him to two different neighbors. Grat guy, very professional, hours good.

We have worked with Marvin both personally and professionally. He is always prompt and returns our calls quickly. He is an excellent electrician and his prices are very fair. When we have used him during a remodel our clients have been very pleased with him as well.

Marvin came in on a moments notice and finished the work of another electrician. He was quick, competent, and professional. He fixed problems left by the previous electrician, installed switches and GFI outlets, and lights. He was reasonable in his pricing and very professional. I will use him again in the future.

Marvin was fanastic! We hired him to rewire our home entertainment center because it wasn't done properly the first time. We also had a light switch that wasn't wired to anything, so we asked him to wire it to a an exisiting light that we had. He and his son were in and out in just a few hours and did a wonderful job! We originally were going to go with another company, but they told us that what we wanted would be too much work and they discouraged us from using them. I'm gratefully that they were unwilling to do this job because we never would have met Marvin! I will use him for any electrical problem that we have!

We acutally scheduled another electrician (which was recommended by our realtor) to come to install the electrical line the day before we started our well drill to begin. He didn't show up and when we called him he said he forgot (even though it was just the day before) and that he would not be able to come. We checked Angies List (which has helped us with many needed contractors on our new house in the past year) and found Marvin. We didn't think we could get anyone out in time but Marvin agreed to come out the next moring. He agreed to meet the same price as the well guy's electrician and got to work quickly. I worked with him pretty closely as I like to understand where everything is in my house and it didn't seem to bother Marvin at all. We worked together in the attic as it was a slightly difficult to get the wire from one end of the house to the other over a second story area. He did a very clean job with minimal attic disruption, he explained everything to me as he did it, and worked with the well guy to make sure he had everything he needed to wire in the well pump. I had Marvin look at a couple of other issues and he had some good suggestions for future wiring and was not rushed at all. It was a very pleasant experience and the work was of good quality.

Marvin arrived on the appointed day and time. He went to work wiring electrical conduit, installing a grounded outlet and connecting the assembly to the circuit panel. The entire job was completed professionally and in a reasonably short time. He cleaned up his debris and made out his bill. Inspecting the completed work it was hard to tell it was not part of the original construction. There have been no further electrical outages, so, it appears. My problem is solved. Estimate was provided, we agreed, Marvin showed up on time and performed quality work. Marvin was a polite professional gentleman who did excellent work. Price was reasonable for materials / labor provided.

Marvin came out the day I called and checked out what needed to be done. He called with an estimate the following day and came and performed the service two days later. His price was reasonable for the work performed.

I had installed an Intex above ground pool and was required by the city
inspector to have an electrician hard wire the pump prior to signing off
on the my permit. Also the main wire connection coming into the house
from the street was leaning and needed to be pulled back vertical. I
contacted Marvin and he was very pleasant on the phone, showed up for
our appointment on time in a very good mood. He assessed the situation
for the incoming line and the pool pump connection. Marvin gave me an
estimate (which was much more in line with my thinking than any of the
other electricians I had called) and I asked him to do the work.
Everything went very well, I was extremely pleased with his work. He
completed everything in a very timely manner. Then the inspector
returned. . .
The city seems to think I have the ONLY pool of this
kind so they had no idea how to classify it. Marvin had called the city
make sure he did everything they wanted, the way they wanted. Turns
out, the set up had to be changed. Marvin came back, again in a fine
mood and made the changes. The inspector returned within 2 hours after
Marvin left and he said that everything was perfect!
Marvin is an excellent electrician and from what I can tell from my dealings with
him, he is a man of integrity. As I read in other reviews for him, he is
a Fireman and so schedules the electrical jobs around that. Please be
patient with his scheduling. He will get to you as quickly as possible.
I would recommend Marvin to anyone (friends, family strangers) needing electrical work done.
My husband and I will definitely be calling on Marvin for any future electrical issues.

Marvin is a very nice and professional man. I called him this morning and he came this afternoon. He promised to call when he was on his way and he did just that. He checked for any possible cause for my problems (no electricity in the bedrooms and no electricity in the back porch light) before he decided exactly what he was going to do. He did a very thorough job. I was amazed at how much he did for such a low price. He was only here for about a half hour. I will call him if I ever need an electrician again. Thanks Marvin.

Marvin was very professional. Arrived when he said he would for estimate and to do the job. He offered suggestions to enhance the under counter lighting. Everything working great after several months.

I had a trip in my circuit. Could not get several interior lights to come on. Called Marvin. He discovered that one of my outside ceiling fans was turning on itself, which caused the trip. He repaired the fan to keep it from turning on itself, and all has been well. He was very professional, time and cost efficient. I would use him again.

Great Experience from phone call to service. From the time of my phone inquiring his services, he was at my location within an hour. Great customer service!! Would use again!

The overhead light in my kitchen shorted out right before Christmas and I was panicking about finding someone to come out the weekend before Christmas to fix the problem! (I wasn't looking forward to cooking in the dark!) Marvin came out that Saturday, checked out the situation, and replaced my light fixture at a very reasonable price. I have some other things I will have him come back and do later, but he was friendly, professional, and was a real life saver! I'd definitely recommend him to others.
