I always hate criticizing companies, but when you are frustrated it always brings out the worst in you. This whole thing got started when we called Home Depot to have one of their associates (a company) give us a bid for some bathroom remodeling we wanted. A gentleman came by from J&J Home Remodelers did various measurements and told me he'd get back to us in a couple of weeks that they were running a bit behind. That was fine with me. Well, about 3 weeks or more went by and I called the company and left a voicemail message asking why we had not heard anything. NO call back so I called again a day or two later and spoke to a woman who said someone would call us. Once again, NO return call. I waited another 2-3 weeks and called the Home Depot store I originally went to and basically told one of the managers that I was extremely unhappy about this company's failure to return not one, but two calls. He assured me he'd check into it and get back to me. He calls me the next day and left a voicemail message saying something to the extent he was checking with them and he would get back in touch or J&J would. Well, five days later, NO CALL BACK!!! This was all to just find out what happened with our bid. Needless to say. I will not be using J&J and if I am asked by anyone I will re-hash this story. Ditto for Home Depot. I won't be darkening their doors any time soon! It always amazes me when you call people to get a bid or have some work done and they don't call you back. I'd say they need to re-train their employees in something called customer service!
