Now they did send someone out to pick up the boxes and take pictures of the damaged items, but since then I haven't heard back. The guys were friendly, and my husband did tip them well, but once we were opening boxes, that's when we were disappointed.
I think my rating says it all.
Moved many times and they would be my last choice.
West Palm Beach unloading is where the issue was.
So when it came time for this move, I was trying to find a local company. Full Circle was great--came on time, worked hard (and it was HOT!), and were very careful with my belongings, not dropping them and not running into the walls, etc.
The owner, Richard, came with two other guys. All of them were clean cut, courteous, and professional (unlike my other moving experience!). Based on my previous move, I inquired as to insurance but Richard assured me that, while I could buy it, it wouldn't be necessary and he was right. Nothing was damaged.
Moving is expensive; Full Circle is a better value than some movers and did a great job. Wish I had had them for my interstate move!
Moving the piano ... When I first spoke to Rich Morey, the owner, I asked if they could move our baby grand piano and if he had experience in moving grand piano (as opposes to uprights or consoles). He assured me they did. On moving day, Mike, the moving supervisor told me that Rich and his father were going to come and hold a "seminar" with the crew on moving a grand piano. An hour or so later the four man crew began to move the piano without Rich or Mike present. When asked about it they called Mike, and then continued to wrap the piano and put it on a piano board (backwards). I had to tell them they were supposed to take the legs and foot pedals off. I watched as they pushed the piano up the ramp to the truck ... and it almost fell off the ramp.
It almost fell again coming down the ramp, and up the stairs at the new house. One leg was put back on the piano backwards. The piano finish was chipped in one place.
Moving the washer and dryer ...the washer and dryer were on the second floor in the old house. The dryer has a feature called "sanitizer" which requires cold water so there was a short hose and "Y" connector to the cold water supply line. The movers left this connector at the old house. The dropped the washer as they came down the stairs and the drain line clamp came disconnected at the bottom of the washer. When they hooked up the washer at the new house, they had the supply lines backwards (cold to hot, hot to cold), they did not check for hose washers, and the first time the washer was used the drain flooded the laundry room.
There were other issues such as a missing lamp shade, wardrobe boxes carried on a workers shoulder so the clothes ended up in a heap at the bottom of the box, and a gouged in our new bamboo floor while installing the bed in the master bedroom. I called Rich a week after the move. He listened for a while then told me he would have Mike call me. Mike called me the next day. He listened for a while, then asked that I send an email with a list of problems. That was over a week ago and I have not gotten any response.
I chose Full Circle Moving on the recommendation of a friend. I should have done my due diligence and checked with other moving companies and reviews of Full Circle. In other circumstances I believe they could do a good job ... it just didn't happen in my experience. They could at least respond to my concerns/complaints in a timely manner with an apology.
Independent living in Cary, NC. The price did not change. I packed most myself, and they packed
what was left at a reasonable price. Smooth move. Very helpful. Very
accomodating. Helped with suggestions. Would not hesitate to use them
again. Not the cheapest - but well worth it. Very considerate of my
elderly parents. Staff VERY nice. Great service. Great move.
"I would like to thank you for the opportunity to be of service. It was a pleasure working with your parents."
