From start to finish, Emert’s was the best choice. I filled out and submitted the form on their website and was called the following morning. I was informed that the owner (Rick) would be able to stop by later on that day and would leave us the estimate. That went exactly as I was told and the estimate was substantially less than the other estimates I had received. I called back the following day after receiving the estimate to schedule the tree to be removed/stump grinded and within a few hours, Emerts was able to show up and complete the job. The job was completed flawlessly. Emert’s is the only tree company I will be contacting in the future and the only company I would recommend.

I called and left a message requesting an estimate, I receive a call back within a few hours and an appointment later the same day for an estimate. Rick Emert arrived on time for the estimate and gave us a reasonable written estimate for a varied set of tasks that needed to be taken care of. We accepted the estimate and he put us on his schedule. He arrived on time with his crew and efficiently trimmed the oak tree, and remove the other trees. The workers were diligent and professional, removing the debris as they fell and mindful of shrubs under the trees. When the job was finished they raked and cleaned up the job site leaving the grounds in a neat and orderly manner. I would not hesitate to recommend Emert's Tree Service to my friends and neighbors. They definitely went the extra mile and provided a quality job for a fair price.

When I husband met with them, there was plans of removing a perfectly good, important branch to the live oak. When I talk to them and explained that I did not want the branch removed because it was alive, they did not touch it and did a good job getting the dead wood off the trees and protecting our property.

  I called the office to schedule an appointment for an estimate after another contractor failed to show two times.  The receptionist, Mrs. Emert was very professional and courteous.  On the day of the appointment, Mr. Emert called ahead to give a ETS and then came to the house on the scheduled day and time to provide an estimate.  He quoted me a price that was about $300 or more less than I expected, and I agreed to have the work done.
The crew arrived on the work day as scheduled.  The first thing I noticed is that they put plywood down on the yard to protect the grass.  They then used a tracked vehicle to remove the palm.  A separate crew cut down the large pine that was about 50' from the house.  They were very careful in removing each section.  They also trimmed other small trees near the pine to aid in its removal, and they took out a small dead oak near the pine at no extra charge. They removed all of the tree and debris and loaded it into a very new large truck with a crane attached.
All of their equipment was nearly new and in excellent shape.  The entire crew was professional and efficient.  The lead tree surgeon also gave me some advice on removing an evasive plant that was growing near the pine.
Mr. Emert personally removed the palm tree and loaded all of the debri in his large truck.  The crew then racked the front and back your to remove any small pieces of debris.  They were not able to get all of the queen palm's roots out, but I consider that to be minor.
This was the fourth tree removal I've had done in the greater Jacksonville/St. Augustine and was one of the best jobs I received and by far the best price.  I will use Emert's Tree Service in the future for any tree removal or trimming on my property.

Recently moved into our new home & much of the natural foliage & tropical plant additions were a bit surly. I found & called a few services I found on Angie's List & Emert's responded the quickest. The owner, Nick Emert, came out the next day [Friday, April 5] to survey the work. The walkthrough was very efficient & he did not try to over sell services. He offered recommendations only when asked & the price was much lower than I expected. He scheduled the service for the following Monday. Nick & his crew showed up on time & started work immediately. Despite the tiny roads characteristic to downtown residential areas & us having several other contractors on site, Emert's crew carried out the work swiftly & expertly. If it wasn't for the saw & mulcher noise, I'd never have known they were there. They were done just afternoon. All the debris was removed & the yard was was actually cleaner than when they arrived. I will always call Emert's for future services of this nature.

Rick Emert came out for the estimate.  He had been recommended by a neighbor as well as Angies list. He walked the property with me and made recommendations on where to properly trim without harming the trees long term.  To his credit, he wasn't pushing for more trimming (more money) but he listened to my requests and we agreed on a plan for each tree.  There were three trees in front reachable from a bucket and three in the rear/sides yard that required climbing.  I called the next day and accepted his estimate.  He committed to doing the work in about 10 days.  He ended up scheduling and doing the work one week after he gave me the estimate.
.He and his crew arrived on the scheduled day and time and went right to work.  They studied the first tree from the ground and made a plan of attack. It was clear safety was a top priority which we was important to us as well.  They then climbed the tree and methodically trimmed the limbs to be taken down in small sections to keep them under control.  Even though they were working over the screened enclosure, they never once let any debris fall uncontrolled and nothing ever hit the screen.  The part I especially liked was they cleared all the dead growth from the tree even though I had contracted only to remove the major limbs.  They repeated this same procedure for the remaining trees.  After each tree was completed, they asked if I was satisfied with the amount of trimming.  Two of the trees were loaded with dead vines and sucker growth and again they cleaned this out so the trees look great
They were very efficient and worked well as a team clearing debris and moving it to the front yard for removal.  Their equipment was extremely well maintained looked relatively new.  They used a large truck with a boom claw to collect and remove the debris which is so much better than those noisy chippers.  The job took them about 5 1/2 hours.   This included the complete removal of all debris by hand, raking and finally blowing off all wood chips from the roof, driveway, and sidewalks.  
Finally, we have two large Palm trees which had berries growing in them.  I asked Rick if I should have the berries removed.  He recommended removing them to avoid the associated mess and for the long term health of the Palms.  He then proceeded to have his crew set up and clean both trees and giving them a good trim.  The best part is he just included them in his original estimate.
Bottom line is I would highly recommend Emerts and will definitely use them again in the future.

I asked Emerts to come and trim my tree in the front yard and to grind a stump.  When grinding the stump they hit an irrigation line (it happens).  The problem came when Mr. Emert complained the whole time that I had ruined his Monday.  Then, they stayed until about 7pm to try to fix the issue they created then left.  Sure enough, they didn't fix the irrigation correctly and my yard continued to flood.  I had to ask them out there twice more and it still wasn't fixed.  Wound up costing me $100 more to get the irrigation system fixed correctly and the water bill paid.  They were friendly and casual but I don't think I would use them again.

One of the rare service providers in this area that actually shows up as promised on time both for the estimate and to perform the work. All work performed met expectations for quality and clean-up. Would recommend and use service again.

We can't beat him.  He is always available and perfect.  He is reasonable and does anything for us.  He is really good.  He did an excellent job.  He made my sign visible.  He took out forty trees out of my yard because I wanted a swimming pool.  He did a great job at a most reasonable price.  I always use him, he's very good.  He is very reasonable and does great business for myself as well as for my mother.
