Description of Work: We just moved here and they are the only internet service provider in this area. I can't get them to call me back or schedule installation. Internet is important because I work from home. I had to get my neighbor who has Comcast service to tether an internet connection to my house.

 + -1 moreas a business owner i rely on my internet for phone and credit card. they don't care about it. they cancelled a scheduled appointment without notifying. they really don't seem to care about your needs as a customer. Wish there was another option for ISP (Atand t is as bad as Comcast) !!!!

 + 0 moreWhen I would call and complain I would get excuses as to why things were that way, not fixes, The Internet stayed slow and the TV stayed mixed up. The DVR supplied by the company would fill up with just a few movies. The disk was too small.
Description of Work: I started with Comcast in December of 2011. I was lucky in the fact that I did not have a specified contract with them. I had their Internet Service, Cable TV, and the Xfinity TV Service. I have now dropped them and gone with another provider for all of the above services with the exception of the Xfinity TV service. The Installation of the equipment took a lot longer than I expected. I have had other TV and Internet services where it took less than half as long to get everything installed correctly. The Internet service was the worst. It took three hours to get the service to work on a machine that had been running another service with no problems. The instillation of the wiring is a horrible mess with the wires stapled to my baseboards and up and around the door frame for the closet and for the entry food to the room. The internet service which is supposed to be so fast was much slower than the service it replaced. (The speed was the reason I replaced the first service.) It was a memory hog and uploaded so many security programs that my computer would lock up on memory calls. The TV service is laid out poorly. None of the channel numbers match the actual channel numbers on the dial as they do with the other services I have had. 12 is on 12 and 7 is on 7 with the rest of the services, but not with Comcast. 12 is on 11. The rest are worst. They weren't grouped according to type. as in movie channels in 300-400 channel numbers. The channels were scattered across the spectrum.

 + 1 moreService person showed up 2 hours early andcompleted the hookup very quickly in spte of some cabling problems created by previous occupant. Everything went smoothly.
Description of Work: They hooked up phone, internet, and TV service. The cost seemd a little high becaue included 2 months service plus installation. The service amn had a little difficulty because house was wired for DirectTV but was able to get it hooked up correctly and everything worked perfectly when finieshed. I was disappointed in that none of the HD channels were viewable with the basic package and requires a special HD receiver for about $10 per month extra.

Description of Work: Installer Lee(1221) got here early, then apologized, until he noticed I was happy about it. He cordially greeted me then asked what it was that I needed from him. I showed him the three areas, he quickly recapped, then he was off! It took him maybe 15 minutes to hook up three television sets, one with dvr, and the high speed iternet. He checked it all twice, which I thought made this guy unique, then signiture and off he was. Nicest, fastest and best install yet. Take this guy's wrenches and van away.....he's a definitely a trainer.

No matter what they say, I know enough about electronics to know that they can provide us with the select channels that we want to watch and price accordingly, but they bundle everything together. There may only be 15 channels that I watch, but they put all these things together so we are paying for channels that we don't even watch.

 + -1 moreThe installers have been great! As for the service they provide, it is absolutely awful. The cost above is price per month. The service they provide in theory is great but being called ondemand cable is incorrect because it is not on demand. It kicks you off what you are watching constantly.
Description of Work: I had them put in my ondemand cable service. They ran the cable lines and came in on several occasions to upgrade me.
