Don't walk, RUN from this company!! Terrible work, terrible business, terrible customer service!
I had a water leak between the upstairs floor and downstairs ceiling in my condo. I made an insurance claim and hired this company to do the repair. A rep from BRC (Steve Pouliet) submitted an estimate to the insurance but came back 2 additional times to submit other items as though they were padding the estimate. Steve said not to worry, you are entitled to things like adjoining walls, etc, but you wont pay for work that you don't agree to. I asked BRC for something in writing to state what I was expected to pay as they were not performing all of the work that they kept exaggerating their estimate for. I was promised, but never received one. I did agree for them to do my ENTIRE ceiling downstairs as I was afraid it would look terrible if I only did a portion. Work had begun. Their employee, Art, did a horribly sloppy job on my ceiling. He did not remove lights, ceiling fans, etc. He merely taped around them, yet I was charged for all of this. He left several areas of my ceiling unfinished, or not properly finished. The ceiling looks terrible! In addition, I personally found and purchased matching tile for the upstairs so that only a small area needed to be repaired, and not the entire floor as they had hoped for. I was charged for so many things that was never agreed upon, nor done, such as doors painted, etc. I protested with the foreman, (BRC's rep Mike Nutter) who wrote out a change order form with a price that he and I agreed to. Work was near the end, but not complete. I paid the bill and I had the company's representative (Mike Nutter) sign that he received payment in full. John Crist, COO is now claiming that I owe them more money, as their rep mistakenly omitted from the form. They filed suit against me in another county. I prevailed in my motion to move the case. I am now being threatened with another suit, etc for a case that is less than $1000. I called John Crist on the phone and invited him to my home to view the job. He refused, raised his voice and stated that I was not logical. I have photos that I have shown to Chickie Gould (BRC Representative) John Crist is irrational and threatening me again. In addition, Art did such a terrible job, he washed everything down my kitchen sink, clogging it up with a huge pile of mud. They did not clean after themselves, there was mud on my walls, pictures, etc. What an awful company. Now there are cracks in the ceiling that need repaired. John Crist will is claiming that his company did nothing wrong. They are spending more money that this claim is worth and using bullying tactics. I welcome the opportunity to present my evidence to a judge!
